My rating: 5 of 5 stars
At the beginning of the book we see Aubrey Ellis as a teenager struggling with her gift.
Aubrey travels with her Grandmother Charlie who owns carnival that travel the same route
every year.In the midst of a carnival Aubrey has a ghost wanting her to communicate with their loved ones. All Aubrey wants to do is run away and have a normal life.
When we meet her again she is in the middle of her marriage break up, because her husband found out about her gift.
Aubrey works for a local newspaper as a property columnist, it her way of dealing with the dead sometimes attached to the property.
A dead body is found of a young woman in the basement of a house.
We then have the young girl's story happening twenty years previously,
along with Aubrey helping to find clues from her gift. This is a thrilling ride as we reach a climax.
This is definitely a 5 star for me.
