Review: Tycoon

Tycoon Tycoon by Katy Evans
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I reviewed this for Book Addict live,
Wow I loved this book, I always love Katy’s strong Alpha males who always love so completely and in Tycoon it was no different.
Christos and Brynn originally met in High school and Brynn had a crush, but was too afraid to act on it. Christos didn’t think he was good enough, and when his mother died he left to make a better life for his younger brother and himself.
Fast forward and Brynn comes to New York to start a new business, and in desperate need of start-up money.
Brynn is at her wits end gets an appointment to see Christos. As a favour to a mutual friend he agrees to one meeting. One meeting with Brynn throws his life into chaos as he falls in love with the one that got away. Brynn is in the same boat, but because he is in a relationship she holds herself back.
Always the strong men are the ones brought to their knees. There is plenty of angst before the guy keeps the girl. As always with Katy Evans book I read straight through and enjoyed every minute. Miss Evans is the master at romance. A standalone with HEA even though I think we will meet up the some of the characters in the next one. I can’t wait for the Audio copy, so I can listen and get lost in this wonderful five star read again.
I received an ARC of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Review: Longing

Longing Longing by Ciana Stone
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a great start to a new series which incorporates Angel Joe from Honky Tonk angels in the first book. This is a second chance at love for Sabine and Logan who have loved each other for years.
We have plenty to get your teeth into as there so much going on.
Logan's life as he knew it was a lie, the only person he trusts is Sabine.
I loved it as I knew that numbers 2,3 were already available.

Review: Hot Cop

Hot Cop Hot Cop by Laurelin Paige
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Meet Hot Cop Chase Kelly all he wants to do when he meets Livia is to treat her to The Kelly Trio Dinner, Drinks and handcuffs
Hot Cop is a sexy romantic comedy.
We have Hot Cop Chase Kelly who meets Liv the Librarian and instantly falls in lust. Liv decides that her life will be over when she’s 30 and decide Hot Cop doesn’t do commitment so maybe he can be a baby donor. Enjoy the sex without the responsibility. As Liv is a librarian she puts together a contract for to sign stating the terms of the agreement.
Well we all know what’s going to happen, but it’s the fun they have getting there. This book was lots of fun once the sex is gets started which involved sex in stairwells, in the back of police cars while handcuffed. This book really hit the mark, and I thoroughly enjoyed i.e. finished in one go, with a big smile on my face.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Review: Captive Vow

Captive Vow Captive Vow by Alta Hensley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Captive Vow is a strange dark tale, and I don’t want to give away much.
Demi is a waitress in a small town with only her fellow waitress Maria her only friend. Demi has a terrible secret her mother is being executed after a terrorist explosion had killed innocent people and her mother was responsible. On the day of the execution Demi goes to work as usual and tries unsuccessfully to put it out of her mind. So it with pleasure she goes to help feed an old lady Viv with Parkinson’s to eat.
Demi wakes and finds she is trapped in a box and tied up so she can’t move. When Demi finds out she has been kidnapped by VIV the old lady she has helping for months she finds it unbelievable. Before long they arrive at a beautiful house in the middle nowhere, but Demi has been drugged and placed in the basement and tied to a chair naked. The Viv she meets there is like a totally different woman. Viv threatens her with Maria and her baby, if she won’t do as she’s told it will be Maria who will suffer as she has someone watching them. So Demi must train to be a good wife to her son Pope. Pope is appalled and wants to take Demi home straight away. When the situation is explained he does everything he can keep her save.
Even though the plot is dark, the relationship between Pope and Demi becomes very real, I enjoyed this fast but strange book. The route to a HEA wasn’t a usual but it still a twisted but enthralling read.

Review: Abducted

Abducted Abducted by Evangeline Anderson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What I wouldn't give to be kidnapped by some 7ft alien hunk, and who wanted to give me plenty of hot hot sex . Joking aside the women are always very strong in Evangeline stories and this one is no different. Having the power to be able to unlock any device is a nifty power to have. I enjoyed the adventure, Sarden has to rescue his sister and purchased Zoe to do a swap, but now his has got to know her, he changes his mind. So together they have to find another way.
As always Evangeline's stories are a cut above the normal alien romps,
and I am on the next one in the series.

Review: Beautiful Stranger

Beautiful Stranger Beautiful Stranger by Christina Lauren
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I read this book when it came out and loved every minute of it.
I also listened to the audio edition when it came out, and loved it.
I was feeling nostalgic and I listened to beautiful Beloved,
which in turn made me decide to listen To Beautiful Stranger.
What a great job Jonathan Cole and Grace Jones do as the narrators, as they take you on their secret journey towards their love for each other.
Listening to the gang brings back the genius of Christina Lauren.

Review: Cherished

Cherished Cherished by Christina Bauer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I reviewed this for Book Addict live,
Wow this series gets better with every book, after defeating Vicomte in book two and Thea rescuing all the Necromancer’s. All she wanted to do was to go back to her family’s farm, and just forget about magic and be a farmer. Phillip her friend’s brother has come to give her advice on fitting in the locals who still see her as a witch.
Betrayed by someone she trusted explicitly, and finding out Rowan needs her help Elea rushes to Casters country.
This is a fantastic book, so filled with action. Elea comes into her own to defeat all to defend and support Rowan. Even though others have other plans for her. When staying with Rowan she finds some of his own family is working against him.
This is a rich colour filled world created by Christina Bauer lets you immerse yourself in the non-stop action. Elea comes into her own with the love and support of Rowan. This must be read after books one and two as this is not a standalone. This is definitely a five star read, as the books have gotten better as the series has continued.

Review: Concealed

Concealed Concealed by Christina Bauer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What can I say each book gets better than the one before.
This was non stop action, one again Rowan and Elea team up to defeat an even worst baddie than the Tsar.
This has an almost complete story following the main characters, but cannot be read alone.
I am in awe of Christina Bauer imagination and world building.
It is so easy to put yourself into the stories and not want to come out.

Review: Bare Yourself

Bare Yourself Bare Yourself by Alex Grayson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I reviewed this book on behalf Book Addict live,
This is Tegan’s story. He’s the exhibitionist. He likes people to watch him having sex. He likes to see them take their pleasure watching him getting his.
Tegan meets Willow on the side of the road when her car has a flat tyre. She leaves him with a kiss and she stays in his mind.
Circumstances bring them to cross paths again and neither of them can deny the attraction. Tegan gets Willow to discover her own dirty side and once he discovers this there’s no stopping his feelings.
As I hadn’t read book one it didn’t stop me reading this as a standalone. This is group of friends who met at sex addiction clinic, and as a group they try to help each other cope.
Willow is running from her own problems and has come to Atlanta to stay with friends until she finds a job and place to live. Very soon Willow and Tegan are falling for each other. I found Tegan very likable and Willow is a sweetheart.
There are reasons for Tegan’s sex addiction which is kinda harrowing and heartbreaking. I just loved him!!  The way he tries to help friends with their addictions you knew he’s deeper than he appears. He’s just a really good guy, especially the way he cares for Willow.
Willow was highly likeable. She’s funny and brave and I loved how she challenged Tegan on every level!
As you can imagine the loving scenes were off the charts!! Very imaginative kept me glued to my kindle, which it is still steaming.
The story flowed well and kept me all the way through, storyline isn’t just about the addiction there’s so much more to it. The things with her brother kinda broke my heart in places. So don’t think it’s just a sex book its way more than that.
