Review: When Forever Changes

When Forever Changes When Forever Changes by Siobhan Davis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.blog,
I don’t know how to start this review, so I’m going to keep this review as spoiler free as possible because I want everyone to enjoy it firsthand as I did. This is book that pulls into the story shreds your emotions and then puts you back together. So have your tissues ready, I definitely needed them. At other times it’s uplifting and I couldn’t stop smiling.
This book deals with adult issues that draws you along with storyteller. I couldn’t put it down. Slater was so swoony you couldn’t help falling in love him, Gabrielle was so mature for age, and a great heart. This is full of families, and love from your siblings and your friends you have known from a child. This told from three Pov when necessary, and helps to give you a clearer picture. I loved this book even if my emotions were shredded. That's all from me I don't want to spoil this read for anyone else.

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
When at first you start reading you think it's quite a cute romance. Daisy is rescued from drunken actor by a handsome mammoth of a man who somehow makes you her feel like a normal woman for first time.
That’s how Roy Blackwood met Daisy Aldridge met for the first time. Daisy has no self-confidence, and is very nervous around men. Daisy has no idea why Roy wants to date her.
Do not be fooled as things heat up, all the secrets start to pop up, when Daisy can’t take much more Roy is with her every step of the way.
This is a love story with plenty of action in and out of bed. This book blew me away, it was so different from what I was expecting.
So give it a go and be surprised.

Review: Dirty Rich Betrayal

Dirty Rich Betrayal Dirty Rich Betrayal by Lisa Renee Jones
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Lisa has done it again, introduced another passionate billionaire Grayson Bennett that is just so mine. This is a second chance romance, and is a dual point of view to from Mia and Grayson, with flashes of the past to bring us up to date.
Mia thinks Grayson betrayed her with another woman at the office, so feeling insecure even though she was engaged to him, she left him.
Now she has some important information that he has to know, so she goes to his house to visit him. There she learns that she left him for nothing and he hadn’t stopped missing or loving her.
As we know with a LRJ romance there is always the excitement, danger and the  really nasty baddies.
So this a romance with sexual chemistry that exists between Mia and Grayson so hot I burnt my finger turning the pages.
We also we have Blake and Kira from Walker Security giving a helping hand. So we have a woman who can look after herself and do anything to protect Grayson, and a hot sexy successful man that will do anything to protect Mia. Throw in an enemy that plays with the really bad guys. Now you have all the ingredients for a Lisa Renee Jones masterpiece for us to enjoy.

Review: The Dark Lands

The Dark Lands The Dark Lands by Christina Bauer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Well another great adventure from Christina Bauer with my favourite quasi demon Myla and her great team of supporters. This time it’s Walker that needs help, he keeps disappearing and when shows up he has been tortured. When appearing on Good Morning Purgatory Myla and Lincoln are blindsided when an exposé tells of a super villain called the viper has stolen some magical gauntlets that belonged to Lucifer.
This time someone wants to let Lucifer out of his prison, which while mean carnage through the realms. So with great courage and plenty of sass Myla and Lincoln to the rescue. This is up to the usual standard you expect when reading this humorous and exciting series. We see a lot more of Maxon with Xavier, as the ancient Archangel discovers the art to babysitting. Just so cute, as just like anybody would need your parents help when you have to risk your life to save the worlds.

Review: Tall, Dark, and Irresistible

Tall, Dark, and Irresistible Tall, Dark, and Irresistible by Erika Wilde
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Review on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
I couldn’t resist a book with the title Tall, Dark and Irresistible and I was right, I loved it.
Peyton lives in New York and to keep her overprotective parents of her back, she told them that  Leo Stone her boyfriend looks after her, and not to worry.
Peyton was madly in lust and had big crush on Leo in Chemistry at college where they were lab partners.
Of Course her cousin is getting married and her parents expect her boyfriend to come and stay for the week.
Things I enjoyed about this book is Leo is a nice guy as well as being swoonworthy. Peyton is a great girl, being an only child she wanted save her parents worry
When they meet up and Leo agrees to the ruse he realises the chemistry between them is off the charts.
A Hot sexy funny romance and I loved it. The narration was duel, so we hear from both Peyton and Leo. I always enjoy dual with a romantic comedy. You really do feel like a fly on the wall. So this is a must read for fans of pretend boyfriends who are so hot you must really want to know what happens and how they get there.

Review: Gray Horse

Gray Horse Gray Horse by Ciana Stone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
I love Ciana Stone, her books it always leaves me with warm feeling like I have been staying with friends, and I’m part of the action. Ciana characters become friends as she build great communities. After reading this series you begin to feel you know the characters very well.
Mathias is handsome, loyal, hot as well as an honourable man. When he meets Reese who is a genius who studies Bees and Butterflies. Something changes when they meet, whether they want it or not. It a powerful feeling in their physic, and you feel this tangible feeling pouring off the pages. When we visit we always catch up with our friends, as Reese is connected to Wiley and Deacon Johns with an invention she is working on.
There is some serious bad guys trying to kill Reese. Mathias is determined to keep this woman safe. So there is plenty of bad guys to keep the action rolling.
This is a great series, but you can read this as a standalone. I ask why would you. If you read this book and you haven’t read the series. I know you will. This books have action, danger, love and loyalty to each other. I loved Mathias he is a guy with plenty of sex appeal. I always fall for Ciana’s heroes, she writes real men for real woman.

Aurora is Australian and has an irreverent attitude towards royalty, and just brings a happiness and lightness to the girls’ life. I enjoyed the sparing between Aurora and Aksel as they fight their attraction to each other. This is a light hearted romance with lots of humour thrown in. An enjoyable read, now I’m going to read about the other kings in the series.

Especially when have to learn to live with their Stepfather who wants to control everything that goes on the house. This is slice family life and how every changes as we become adults. This is a compelling account of sister, daughter and wife’s changing relationship with her brother Finley. I far as was concerned the narrator is Millie recounting  her from childhood until today. As I’m English this is a wonderful window into the up and downs of  Millie’s life in the American South.

I really enjoy police procedurals, and this one is a doosey. We follow two police detectives Susan Martinez and Barbara Lassiter as they try to find the murderer of vicious Victoria who must be the most unsympathetic victim I ever read about. I didn’t take me long to become part of the action, and I was following with Barbara and Susan tracking down the clues. There is lots of action in this book, including the private lives of the two detectives. If you love a good murder mystery this a great one, and can’t recommend this enough.
I have to say I never guessed who murdered vicious Victoria, the only thing is I didn’t want the person found. As the Barbara and Susan investigates the murder the more suspects they uncover.
The narrator did a marvellous job, making each characters voice very distinctive. Considering the large cast of characters

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
This is the story of another Reed sibling, this time a half-brother named Evan Cook who has built a company from the ground up, and always with his assistant by his side. He hired Nia straight from college and never regretted it. Since losing his wife in a car accident, his now ready for a new wife to sort his personal life which has been a disaster.
Always being an analytical person he decides to place an ad and Nia can get him a short list. Bas and Nia who are close to him can’t believe that’s what he wants. So Nia goes around to help sort out his flat, and show him the basics.
This is a love story that at times is so sad, especially with Evan growing up in foster care has no idea how to deal with real emotions. At other times a story with great hope for the future. This is the story of a man who discovers what love is, when he has never been showed love. Nia has always loved Evan and she tries to show him what love is.
This is told from mostly from Evan’s POV, and how he learns about himself and how he learns to recognise love. This is a unusual love story, as the man in question has always lived in his brain, he learns all about his heart.

Review: The Good Samaritan

The Good Samaritan The Good Samaritan by R.C. Boldt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.blog,
The Good Samaritan is a powerfully written romance, there is so many great characters in this book, it a treat for the senses. It also highlights real problems so many people suffer from.
Jude is great guy, struggling after tragedy he feels guilty about, and tries to atone by living on the streets and helping others in need. Nothing seems to help until he meets Faith and Father James who runs the homeless shelter.
The only person to pierce his darkness is Faith a reporter who volunteers at the shelter.
Faith just sees a man in pain, not a bum who lives on the street. They become friends, Faith the only woman to interest him in five years. One night after work Faith is attacked and nearly raped fortunately Jude stops the rapist and gets Faith to the hospital in time. It makes them both realise what they feel for each other.
Alas the road to true love is paved with obstacles. This is a heartwarming and at times heartbreaking read. This book actually blew me away, and I admit tears were shed when I got to the end.

One night needing fresh air Jennifer witnesses something that shouldn’t be possible. To keep Jennifer from saying anything that tell her all will be explained at the next port. So for next couple of days she followed and becomes friendly with the most fascinating group on the boat.
No one is more surprised than Jen to find she is a witch. So Thomas starts training her, Jen is over the moon. Unfortunately as this is a first in a series there is a lot of magic world building. This is a fun paranormal adventure on board ship with great locations. The narration was excellent with all the voices that had to be done. A great start to a new series, and can’t wait to see how Jennifer progresses with her magic.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My god I don’t how Carian does it, I so emotionally battered and bruised with a box of tissues beside me. Every book she writes, I always think this is my new favourite, and then a new book comes out and I’m blown away again. This is a heartbreaking and loving tale of true love.
I absolutely loved Piper she was such a strong and loving woman who fell in love with a street musician with no knowledge of the mental health problems and addiction and how it would impact on her life. This is story of true love, for better or worse, with no sugar coating the effect of Blues illness.
This is one of the stories that pull me in so you can’t help to feel the emotions from Blue and Piper, one minute so sexy and loving the emotions coming off the pages. This is one of my all time favourites, why is so hard to write a review when a book effects you like this one has.  I can’t recommend this book enough, I couldn’t put it down.

I loved this book, it is amazing and unlike any storyline I have read in ages. I mean it is really not every day that the “undead” walk among us in non-zombie form. I love anything with originality and this had plenty of that. This is actually book two, but after a bit of confusion I picked up what was happening. The first book is called Memortality, and I must go back and read it.
I loved the main characters Minerva and Raven and even Carson. No spoilers and if you read the blurb, I don’t want to repeat myself  except to say if you want read something with plenty of action with a nasty baddie, then this is for you. I would advise reading Memortality first to get the full effect. I can’t praise this book enough I rarely give 5 stars, but I’m willing to give this one 6 stars if available. I loved every minute of reading it. Now I’m waiting for book 3.

Justin is in a bad way disillusioned with life and women general he doesn’t know what to make of the sexy bartender. Callie may only be 22, but after looking after herself since she was 16 has made her very mature in her outlook.
When Callie first looks at Justin she is a goner, and lets him know her intentions. Justin may have been forty, but Callie was more mature. I loved this Novella it held all the ingredients for one beautiful romance when Justin and Callie least expected. I great read, it was pleasure to read. Jessie meets his lively daughter Whit who steals the show. This is a great entertainment, much more than usual second chance romance. I would say its warmhearted and it was a pleasure to read. We have dual narration, which always my favourite way to read. A great romance that kept me glued to the pages with great and funny entertainment. I can’t recommend this book enough. Review: Eight Goodbyes

Eight Goodbyes Eight Goodbyes by Christine Brae
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf http://bookaddict.live,
Eight Goodbyes is a heartstrings tugging romance that will push all the right emotional buttons… Or, at least that’s what happened to me. The book is divided into three parts, and I think as we went through the different parts the book it became more emotional.
When Simon meets Tessa at the airport for the first time, he is struck by her vitality and really wants to meet her. Simon is organised and orderly and Tessa is a romance writer who always rushing about. This is an intriguing concept with the eight Goodbyes, but as the story goes along we see how more mature emotionally Tessa becomes from the first time we meet her. It took me awhile to warm up to her, but the more I got to know her the more I warmed up to her personality.
I don’t want to give away any spoilers except to say I really enjoyed reading this romance and especially when everyone finally have their happy ending

Block Shot Block Shot by Kennedy Ryan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Kennedy Ryan never writes just a romance novel it’s always much more. This is the story of Jared, who is August’s stepbrother from Long Shot, but this completely standalone.
Jared and Banner meet at College, both studying Sport management, when Jared sees Banner in a debating class and she decimates him with her brilliance and he is hooked. Unfortunately after believing lies about Jared’s intensions, due to her self-image problems. Their careers take them to different cities. They only see each other in passing over the years.
Finally they are in the same city, but Banner is dating someone else, but Jared has never stopped missing her, now he sees this confident and brave woman and knows he must have her.
Kennedy takes your emotions, and pulls you in the story and takes along for the emotional journey. The journey is never easy, but all the more rewarding. Kennedy never fails to face any unpleasant subjects the more heartbreaking better. This more than five stars in anyone’s book.

This is a wonderful love story, and it was a magical Christmas story. It was great to celebrate the holiday with the residents of heart falls. Vivian Arend really knows how to create great community. Styx’s Stands is another great book in the Men of Lakeview Series. In this book we follow Peter Styx Fuller and Savannah Brushard.
After being left at the altar, Savannah decides to join the military as a nurse, where she meets her best friend Ella. Those of you who have read Grayson’s book know some of what happens from a different POV.
Savannah and Styx are in what she thinks, is purely a sexual relationship. Styx is crazy about her and trying to get her to see that. When the unthinkable happens, and Styx determined to shows her he wants a lot more.
This is another great novella in the Men of Lakeview series. This is quick, but full read with so much feeling and emotion packed in with so much action. I’m loving it!

This has got to be one of my favourite books I‘ve in the last few months. Rome and Isabel were great together. This the first in the Bear Bottom Series. Rome was a professional football player who retired due to family reasons. The Bear Bottom MC rallies around him in his time of need.
I just loved Izzy she was great, just perfect for Rome. Even with all her own tragic family she was with him every step of the way. I not giving anything away, but this is a must read for me. This is a heartbreaker, so thank you Miss Vale for all my heartache and tissues. A Great read.

I afraid you will have to excuse me, I just emerging from the future after reading the three books in the series one after another. First we have Mirror X where Cassie a seventeen year old was killed in a helicopter accident 2022. Cassie’s grandfather believed in cryogenics and placed Cassie in the company specialist S.T.A.S.I.S in Los Angeles.
So poor Cassie is awakened in 3022, we memories of just before the accident. Helpless in a bed with a body so wasted she cannot move. It doesn’t take long for Cassie’s real personality come peeking out, but she knows she can’t do anything until she is fit enough. This book finishes a story arc as they escape to Tasma to complete there project.
The Ascendancy
You just so know the perfect peaceful world is not all it seems ,and after being betrayed they get ready to implement the project in Tasma.
I not going to give to much away except to say I could see these books in a film format in my head as Michael and Cassie move through regions not knowing who to trust after being let down after Cassie finding out the truth of what happened to her.
In this brave new world a plague decimated the population 500 years before. One side effect left all women infertile, so for the last 500 years they have used cloning. Unfortunately the female clones are infertile. So all the populations left are all clones, and he who has the technology has the power.
This is a great trilogy as we watch the world trying to change and to be free. Let me say I enjoyed this immensely and I still firmly trapped in the 3020s. I hope these come in an Audio format, and these are written for YA market so we have plenty action, underhanded behavior. The only unpleasant things that happen is what is in context to the story. This old bird thoroughly enjoyed my trip to the future.

Review: Beauty's War

Beauty's War Beauty's War by Anna Edwards
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf http://bookaddict.live,
This is a modern day story based on the ancient gods. The thing I loved was Jupiter King of the Gods has a law firm in Rome that he runs with his children. I love the fact that the authors made it a law firm.
Focusing on the Roman gods, the basic premise here is that Jupiter the king of the gods has a law firm in Rome that he runs with the help of his godly offspring.
This is a front to help mankind in an ongoing war with his brother Pluto the god of the underworld.
Pluto also has a rival firm and his end game is to cause as much chaos and evil insanity in direct opposition to his family’s directive.
His goal: to totally eradicate life for the humans as they know it and he will use any means necessary to achieve this objective.
Including a goddess who has no idea of her original origins.
So this is the story of the god of war Mars; a lawyer working on the side of good for his father’s Law firm.
Mars has been tasked with befriending the newly awakening Goddess.
I thought Victoria she was a fantastic character, and I loved Mars, it really made think about our emotions, when you read this book you will know what I talking about.
So for me, the fallout here was rather shocking and was not quite what I was expecting from this. Victoria began to really see Mars and became who she was meant be. Some of the darker elements when we get to what happens to women when Pluto’s fiends get hold of them.  There is some darker elements

Review: The Breakup

The Breakup The Breakup by Erin McCarthy
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3.5 stars
This story was about Bella, Sophie’s sister from the Hookup, and the runaway bride.
It took me much longer to get into book than last one. Bella who had left Bradley at the altar, after finding out he had been cheating.
So it took a while to warm up to Bella and Christian, but I did as we get to know the real people behind their fears.
This is a sweet read with some hot sex thrown.
I think there is some more Jordan siblings like their brother Cain and his weekend sex pad up in the hill cabin. This is quick read sometimes we just don't gel with characters.

Review: Flirting with Forever

Flirting with Forever Flirting with Forever by Kendall Ryan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is fun sexy easy read. Cam and Natalie were so perfect for each other, once they realised how they felt there no stopping them.
Natalie met Jack and Cam when they were sixteen, and they have always been best friends.
Cam and Jack had a pact that they made when they were first met Natalie that she was off limits
I loved this book and I loved the couple especially when Cam started seeing Natalie in a different light. All good fun watching everything play out, seeing two people who are meant to be together trying to figure everything out.
So if you enjoy a read where suddenly you see your closest friend in a new light. The one person you can’t live without, then this for you.

Review: Zach

Zach Zach by Lilly Atlas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.blog,
This is an amazing audiobook is narrated by Noah and Erin, and this is a duet narration
To the story, Toni comes back to her home town when her parents are killed, only coming back to arrange their funeral. Toni decide to stay for the summer and meets Zack her next door neighbour who she always a crush when she was younger.
Zack is a great character who is an enforcer for Hells Handlers, but a decent guy who fell for Toni after seeing around. This is definitely an adult story and being the first in the series we are introduced to all the characters.  I know this going to be a great series. There is plenty of hot sex and some violence, but this only pertains to the story. I loved Zac and Toni together, this is a spellbinding story that for me and going to be one of my favourites.
A pair of my favourite narrators keeping me in this spellbinding story, and I’m looking forward to the next in the series.

Review: Flash Point

Flash Point Flash Point by Ronelle Antoinette
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
We meet a couple of interesting characters that give me a chance to see further in to their lives past and present. Jex and Enari are back and finding themselves in a situation that could cause the long-term lovers status to be called in to questions. The fate of their world and that of their unborn child becomes and adventure in secrets/lies, dark magic, and more. We find out some deceptions and who are responsible. So much deception going, Enari and Jex don’t know who to trust
I listened to this before  I listened to book one.
To get the fullest enjoyment out of this tale of dark magic, backstabbing, and love you should very much start where it all began. Jex and Enari did not have it easy in the beginning and certainly do not have it easy this time around.
Narrator Ginny Ross made me feel transported back to a world of fantasy and magic. She gives me a vivid picture of it and at times more.
