Review: Means

Means Means by Kennedy Layne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Means the first book in Kennedy Layne new series the Office Roulette Trilogy, and how one man’s murder effects everyone working for him.
Brad Manon whose hedge fund company Manon Investments is found dead in the opening chapter. Laurel leaves her lovers bed to collect some paper work she needed. Unfortunately Laurel finds her boss and calls the police.
This is centred on Laurel and her relationship with Smith Gallo, a handsome, sexy dynamic man. When the police start to investigate everyone’s skeletons come flying out the cupboard. Making you realise, how well do you know your colleagues that you work with every day and side by side?
This book is hot and sexy and surrounds Laurel and Smith relationship which is now out in the open. This a Kennedy Layne at her best we don’t find who the killer is yet, but we are left with plenty of suspects.
The next book in the trilogy is called Motive and centers on Rye Marshall and Grace Dorrance. I hope some insight into the murder. This Kennedy Layne at her best combining Murder with a HOT sexy love story.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Review: The Upside of Falling

The Upside of Falling The Upside of Falling by Meghan Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Read with Pleasure for http://bookaddict.live,
Well Meghan Quinn has blown me away, I have been glued to my kindle reading this rich and beautiful story. How could I not fall in love with Colby, he was such a strong beautiful man.
It very hard not to give away any spoilers, but all the characters  felt so real, I am sitting here bawling my eyes out. So I advise you have some tissues ready just in case.
Colby has always wanted to be a fighter pilot with the Air Force, as all his life it made him feel close to his dead father and his grandpa. He has pursued this with a single minded determination.
Then he meets Rory who puts colour in his world, and first time in is adult life he is in love and happy. As you can tell I loved it, I must love being tortured as I couldn’t wait to read it. for me this had everything a hot and sexy hero who was transformed by love.  Rory who transformed his world, and showed him what love is.
Meghan has written such a beautiful love story, and now I have to wait until July for next one. We all know this has a part two so we have a happy ending, but it worth it, if The Downside To Love is as good as this one, then we are in for a real treat.

Review: The Same Time

The Same Time The Same Time by Brona Mills
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
All I can say is wow I really enjoyed this book, I was lucky I got to read it straight after book one.
This is a complete story, with some spoilers if you decide to go back and read book one after you finish this one.
This is about time travel, and how love can influence the universe. This one is centred on a group of people, most in both books. We have David and Stella who first meet when she is in labor waiting to have baby all on her own at 21 and scared. When a handsome older man is in the waiting room. And begins to talk to her, and stays with her through the birth even sleeping chair. All Stella knows is how safe she feels, and he seems like a guardian angel.
That is the start of an intense and great piece entertaining Sc-Fi Time Travel romance that spans many years and adventures. This is told from Stella’s POV and the inside story with her relationship with David. That is a simplified description, but I don’t want give any spoilers away. I love a good piece of Time Travel romance so this was right up my street. Now I can’t wait for book three to see things from another pov, or anything else Brona mills writes. I'm pleased I've discovered another author to watch out for.

Review: Blood Match

Blood Match Blood Match by K.A. Linde
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
I don’t know how I’m going to survive this series. This started after the cliffhanger from book one. Captured and imprisoned by Harrington. Reyna couldn’t see any end to continually being poked with needles and to give blood.
It is very difficult not to give away any spoilers.’ This started with a bang and didn’t stop until end. I love Reyna and Becks together, and we get to know Reyna’s brothers, and other members of Elle. I am really enjoying this series, but why o’ why Miss Linde do you have to keep us suffering with cliffhangers. I don’t know how I’m waiting to the next book in this series. A must read series, impatiently waiting for the last book in this trilogy Blood Cure.

Review: The Varlet and the Voyeur

The Varlet and the Voyeur The Varlet and the Voyeur by L.H. Cosway
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of Http://bookaddict.live,
I loved this book, another crazy funny romance, with a meeting of minds and bodies. This is based in Ireland, with a rugby player with an image problem.
Josey 25 and training to become a vet, and still lives at with her parents, with them paying her tutoring fees. Unfortunately her parents need to downsize and sell their house, so Josey needs somewhere to live and to find a job.
When Will and Josey are introduced to see if they would be able to help each other. I loved Josey, some of the things she would come out with. Will was enchanted right from the beginning.
This is a must read, if you love a bit of sexy with a side dish of crazy this is the book for you. I have enjoyed this series so much, so I am so sad this is the last in the series. This can be read as a standalone, told from dual pov, which is my favourite way of reading. So this is definitely a 5 star read for me.

Review: Wicked Dance

Wicked Dance Wicked Dance by Olivia Boothe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Wicked Dance is a story of a dancer, who gave up a promising career on Broadway after car accident that killed her mother 4 years before. So when we meet Sara she is as an assistant to the head of the Dance School. Sara hates her boss Rebecca, who is an obnoxious women, who treats Sara shabbily.
Sara believes that she deserves to be unhappy, and keeps her emotions bottled up inside. Then she meets Tom and their connection is instant. What follows is a dance where they both try to understand their feelings for each other. They both have secrets they are hiding from each other.
This audiobook is 11hours long and ends suddenly, so we know there is another one coming.
I have to be honest Sara drove me mad, she seemed very immature, especially with her dealings with Tom. The sex is hot and Tom was swoonworthy and very romantic. It made me fill tired listening to the fast pace of the narrator, and listening from mostly from Sara’s POV .I think just because I was not blown away, we can’t all enjoy the same things. I would probably read something else from Olivia Boothe.
The narrator was very clever with the different voices and accents.

Review: Cold Blooded

Cold Blooded Cold Blooded by Toni Anderson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Cold Blooded is another winner from Toni Anderson. Keeping me up well into the night reading about Pip and Hunt and their search for the anthrax dealers. All starting with the situation that Pip found herself in, finding her best friend dead in the lake by her house. I enjoyed the love hate relationship with Hunt and Pip that was entertaining to witness.
As always I was compelled to read this enthralling adventure in one go. Trying to write this without spoilers is difficult, but I have say I am very upset with the fate of one of the agents. This is a great series and we were introduced to some new characters in this slice of Cold Justice. If you are new to the series, this works as a standalone as we have the complete story.
I can’t recommend this series enough, and I have been trying to catch up with the earlier books by listening to some on Audiobook. Okay enough rambling from me I loved this book as it has everything I love, excitement, intrigue, and mystery and even love what else can you asked for? Thank you Toni Anderson.

Review: Knocked Up

Knocked Up Knocked Up by Stacey Lynn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Knocked up is a cut above, most of baby daddy books that are around at the moment.
Braxton and Cara met at their mutual friends wedding, and spent a wonderful night of sex. Cara being embarrassed slipped out in the morning.
Six weeks later Cara discovers she is pregnant, what follows is a couple learning about each other. On the surface they come from different backgrounds, so it’s about meshing their life and friends together.
I loved Braxton and Cara, as we know without problems and misunderstandings there would be no story. Through it all you can feel their emotions and love for each other, all the way to their happily ever after. An enjoyable and quick read. A good book to fill up your device with to read on your holiday or anywhere else. I have to just say Cara's parents were awful, no spoilers just an entertaining read.

Review: Escapades

Escapades Escapades by Lilly Atlas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
This is the first in a new series and deals with a very sad subject. Derek and Alyssa have always been happy and madly in love. Then everything falls apart.
Their daughter Katie dies of cancer, and the couple are devastated, and after both grieving separately they find they have drifted apart.
This is the story of how the couple find their way back to each other.
Alyssa finally decides to try an unusual ways to connect with her husband. This is a very sad story, but is told in dual POV so we realise how the couple work their way back to each other. Alyssa and Derek finally realise how much they still love each other. I have to say the sexy parts are HOT, but you will still need tissues for the sad bits.
This story stayed with me, well after the recording had finished
The Narration is superb with Noah and Erin, who are so versatile they bring this story of hope and love to life.
I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Lilly Atlas. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.

Review: Wild Card

Wild Card Wild Card by Lila Monroe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
I really loved this wonderful romance from the pen of Lila Monroe, this is only the second book I’ve read and I enjoyed both of them. We have Olivia who runs a high quality Matchmaker Company, very strictly above board. Olivia has worked hard and knows the importance of keeping everything in her life very professional at all times.
Unfortunately Ryan a retired ex-NFL star player, come businessman often needs an intelligent attractive date for certain events. Oliva is at her wits end trying to find the right one, until they both realise they can help each other.
What follows is a hilarious series of misadventure and indignities at the hands of her would be new stepmom. I’m rambling again which means I really couldn’t stop laughing at some of the misfortunes. What I should have said is the chemistry is hot and they fall in love while working to make the others life better. I have to say the  sex was HOT ( swooning )
This is told in dual POV’s which builds the story beautifully. Now I can look forward to Man candy the next book in the Series.

Review: Defending Dani

Defending Dani Defending Dani by Kat Mizera
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf http://bookaddict.live,
Defending Dani is the first in a spin off series from the Las Vegas Sidewinders. So we meet quite a few characters from previous books in the Series.
So the Dani in the title is Zakk’s little sister, so when Sergei gets traded to The Alaska Blizzards which is based in Anchorage. Sergei is a widower with a small son Nico, and Dani agrees to go to help Sergei and Nico set up home, and help look after Nico.
Dani plays hockey, and is training for the Olympics team. So Dani is a sportswoman in her own right. For the first time since his wife was killed Sergei feels like his at home, as they live play house Sergei has fallen hard, but won’t stand in Dani’s way.
I really enjoyed this couple Dani and Sergei were wonderful together, but what happens when you let the person you love go because you think you would hold them back? Get this book and find out, all those buff bodies playing hockey, Sorry I must I’m still dreaming.
There is plenty going on in this book, it was like visiting family with all the friends and families there. I can’t wait for book two in this new series.
This is told by dual pov and can be read as a standalone, I can’t get enough of Kat’s Hockey Romances.

Review: Tall, Dark and Charming

Tall, Dark and Charming Tall, Dark and Charming by Erika Wilde
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Tall, Dark and Charming is exactly as described by the title. This a great story that has a lot more substance than most of the romances out there today.
Daisy and Aiden have worked for the same company for 3 years, the only thing between them was friendship and mutual attraction with a light flirtation.
Then they travel to meet a client and have to stay overnight. Daisy goes straight up to bed, but realising it was only 8’o’clock decides to go down for a drink. So much more relaxed with her hair down and a few buttons down.
So they decide to have one night together, and then they go back to being friends and colleagues. We all know how that works don’t we?
This is great entertainment value, with this charming romance. Aiden is exactly what it says on the cover, you can’t help but to find him a charming swoonworthy book boyfriend. This is the first book in this series of standalones in The Tall Dark and Sexy Series. I loved this book, and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Review: Only Him

Only Him Only Him by Melanie Harlow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Only Him is a second or third chance romance, we have Dallas who left town many years before. Maren was his high school sweetheart and the love of his life. Unfortunately his parents sent him away to boarding school to straighten him out. He had very little notice, so when he left he never said goodbye.
The present day Dallas works in a tattoo shop in Portland miles from where he grew up. After a life threatening diagnosis he decides to say goodbye to Maren on the way to Boston to see a specialist.
I’ve just realised I’m rehashing the story and you want to discover that for yourself.
Unfortunately for me I’ve been in Dallas’s position and can understand wanting to connect we people we love.
This is a scorching hot sexually, but the love between Maren and Dallas is pure and enduring. I loved this story and enjoyed every minute. I was left with a feel good feeling.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Review: Part-Time Lover

Part-Time Lover Part-Time Lover by Lauren Blakely
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Part Time Lover is a funny, sexy entertaining book. It starts when Elise and her friend Veronica are on a boat trip in Copenhagen, when Elise spots a naked fit man doing handstands on his deck.
Unable to take her eyes of him she takes pictures. Then he notices and asks her to meet him at a place called Jane. Not realising there is two places called Jane a nightclub and restaurant in separate locations. They fail to meet up because neither realise the mix up until it’s too late.
The following year Elise enjoys looking at the pics, not expecting to ever see him. Christian is with his friend Griffin (Wanderlust) in Paris having a drink, and in walks Joy with her friend Elise.
It all starts there, and at first Elise will only meet on Fridays. The romance gets underway, I’m not giving anything else away. I was glued to my kindle and enjoyed the ride. This is a romantic and fun read, and Christian was such a sweetie. This story takes place in Paris, Copenhagen and New York. When I got to the end I loved the Epilogues and the excerpts from of Lauren upcoming novels
And I can’t wait.

Review: Dead Time

Dead Time Dead Time by D.L. Orton
My rating: 0 of 5 stars

The books in this series go from strength to strength, they just keep on pulling you deeper into this saga. This is such a feast for the imagination with so much going on. We are introduced to a lot more people from different domes. Not always pleasant ones
Shannon was abducted by some religious fanatics, but the one good thing was she met and married Peter. Unfortunately the path to true love is never easy, neither is trying to escape.
We met the Isabel in this dimension, who now married to David who is just as despicable.
Through the whole of this book, all Diego wants to do is go back to his own timeline and rescue his own Isabel. This series goes from strength to strength ensnaring me even more, leaving me impatiently waiting for book 4.
The narrators’ talent amazes me, in the adventure it feels like a large cast of characters. When you get to the end you realise it is only Erin and Noah. After listening to this addictive series my regard has grown so much for the work they do.
