Review: Sinful Empire

Sinful Empire Sinful Empire by Meghan March
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow I loved the whole series, but this book was great with everything leading to some surprising twists and turns. I am in love with Lachland Mount. All I can say is I am hooked on the audio edition as it made me feel like I was really there with him.
I got really carried away when Joe Arden was narrating, and paired Grace Grant this was a winning team.
A Great finish to a wonderful trilogy.

Review: The Brands Who Came For Christmas

The Brands Who Came For Christmas The Brands Who Came For Christmas by Maggie Shayne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When you have a one night stand, make sure you use birth control.
This is a sweet story of a 29 year virgin losing her virginity before her 30th birthday.
The next thing we know is she is expecting twins.
This is a feel good romance from Maggie Shayne and the first story in The Oklahoma Brands series.
A good intro for the series.

Review: Power Struggle

Power Struggle Power Struggle by Paige Fieldsted
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Power struggle is the first novel I have read by this author, and it won’t be the last. I was pulled into the story right away. I always like reading dual POV especially in these intense, and very adult situations. We meet Olivia Roberts an extraordinary defense attorney we a great record at one of prestigious Law Firms in New York. Ten years of her life was devoted to her career hoping to be made partner, leaving little time for relationships.
All’s well until one James Beck super attorney at law is recruited by Olivia’s firm with offer of a partnership. I have set the scene, but after arriving in New York early James goes out on the town and meets this fabulous women, who like only wants sex and no relationship just like him. After one of the best nights of his life he meets her Monday morning the new law firm he is started at.
Then the action and a war start. This is a very entertaining book with scorching sex scenes, a murder trial runs through the story. I can’t believe this is Paige’s 2nd book. The writing puts you right there with them. I can’t recommend this enough if enjoy reading about 2 people over the age of thirty getting it on with such scorching hot passion.

Review: The Vixen's Lead

The Vixen's Lead The Vixen's Lead by Tate James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf http://bookaddict.live,
I do love getting to read new series, with a kickass Heroine, and a house of hot hunks. We meet Kit and her best friend Lucy in the middle of a robbery. Kit is doing the robbery, and Lucy hacking into the computer security.
By day they are two young ladies at a private Academy, bemoaning the lack of decent male stock when a set of twins start that seem older and more ripped than normal guys there age group sparks Kit’s interest. This all happens after a tracking device is found in one of the stolen items.

That’s just the beginning, hold on for the start off a rollercoaster adventure, that introduces all the main characters in a great beginning of this new series. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and can’t wait for Book two to see what mischief Kit can start with the Omega Group.

Review: Behind the Bars

Behind the Bars Behind the Bars by Brittainy C. Cherry
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf http://bookaddict.live,
Wow what a beautiful story, I think I still have a few tears in my eyes. We first meet Jasmine and Elliott when they are sixteen, and they have such a beautiful connection. They recognise the music in their souls and the love. When Jasmine forced away, she is heartbroken leaving behind her stepfather and Elliott.
New Orleans is the first time Jasmine felt at home, but her mother drags her away to England and carries on pushing Jasmine into being a pop star, something she doesn’t want. Finally she has enough and goes home to New Orleans.
They both start to live again, and it was lovely to read. There is heartbreak, and then there is Hope and Love. I can’t recommend this enough, but get your hankies out. I can say you will have a smile on your face at the end. This story has heart and a happy ending.

Review: Villains & Vodka

Villains & Vodka Villains & Vodka by Alta Hensley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Well Madison has been stalking Harley Crow, and has been obsessing over him, but Harley is usually on his own, and as Marlowe was never working in his area they had never connected before. The Spiked Roses exclusive Men’s Club sets up tastings, which was all different themes. When The Dark and Deadly is announced, and Harley is attending Madison can’t resist signing up.
This is not a pretty romance wrapped up with pretty words. If you read the first in the Series you may have some idea. This is a hired assassin, a paid killer, and he thinks he has a dark soul. Marlowe got her wish and went home with Harley for a weekend. This is a dark and dirty tale, and Harley couldn’t have a woman that is not afraid of him and makes him feel things. So things have to get more deadly .
So this was something I enjoyed if that’s the right word. Alta Hensley always writes well, and I am always are pulled into the story. This Series is not for the faint of heart.

Review: Mr. All Wrong

Mr. All Wrong Mr. All Wrong by R.C. Stephens
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Wow I was blown away by this book, it was not what I was expecting, and it was much more.
Colton fell in love with Evie after throwing a pie in his face. Evie fascinated Colton, he was use to woman throwing themselves at him. So when she ran from him, he chased.
This has so much more than a straight forward romance. I loved the relationship between Colton, Evie and Carter. I don’t want to spoil the story for you. There is a lot going on, and you won’t expect any of it. Give it a go, you won’t be disappointed.
I was glued to my kindle, and it ended up being an all nighter.

Review: The British Knight

The British Knight The British Knight by Louise Bay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
I have really enjoyed reading about Violet and Alexander, or Mr Knightley. Where have I heard that name before? This is a lovely romance, and they are a great couple from the word go. Violet is employed to try and sort out his paperwork, and get his billing up to date.
This is set mostly in London, and Louise describes Lincoln Inn, and chambers so well. I had a cousin who was barrister there, and it brought back memories. If you enjoyed The Duke of Manhattan, this is Scarlett little sister. This had everything you would like in it like hot sex, a hunky man, great banter and a couple worth cheering on. They were perfect for each other, and I was hooked from the beginning. This to me was the perfect entertaining romance.

Review: Michael: A Scrooged Christmas

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
I absolutely loved this delightful Christmas tale, in a nice bite size chunk of feel good cheer. I fell in love with Michael who after having his heart broken closed himself off from feeling anything good or bad.
Then he meets up with his best friends little sister Holly who has decided to bring back the happy man she has known and loved since she was a child.
Before we know it cyclone Holly has attacked Michael’s unhappiness and caused a dent in the walls around his heart. That’s all from me, enjoy the run up to Christmas with Holly and Michael’s road to their happily ever after.

Review: Wolves and Roses

Wolves and Roses Wolves and Roses by Christina Bauer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of Book Addict live,
This is Book one in a wonderful new series by Christina Bauer, and as usual she has drawn me into another series that has kept me hooked.
This is set in a world where magic appears to dying, in this first trip into the Fairy Tales of the Magicorum.
Our kick ass heroine Bryer Rose who is living the Sleeping Beauty Template. Her best friend is Elle a failing Cinderella template. They both attend Magicorum teen Therapy Group for failing to live up to their templates.
Two great female characters who are tough and can take care of themselves. We always have such strong females in Christina’s books and this one is no different. The action really kicks in when they get caught breaking into LaCharmes office and they meet the arrival committee in the form of Knox and Alec, I have only one thing to say LET THE GAMES BEGIN.
The adventures certainly begin, and I was dragged me into the story that didn’t let me out until the end. When I finished I felt totally bereft. So I went back and read Thrax, and enjoyed so more girl power. We didn’t just have girl power, Knox was pretty spectacular and I could understand Bryar's attraction. I could go on about this book, but then there would be nothing for you to find out. If you enjoy Christina’s books you’ll love this. If you haven’t read any, this is book one in a new series. So it’s good place to start. I will say you are not left on a cliffhanger, as the story arc for couple finish on a positive not.

Review: Crowned

Crowned Crowned by Christina Bauer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddictive,
I don’t know how Christina Bauer manages to do it, I have been hooked on the Angelbound Series, and then I discovered this series. It seems I’ve waiting ages for this book I just couldn’t see how it was going to be resolved. As always nothing is ever easy for our kickass heroine. I thought she had Rowan and the casters now, that’s too easy for Elea.
As always they have a great cast of characters that have appeared through the books in the Series. Also a visit from vindictive Victor put in his usual appearance trying to take over the worlds.
I did love Rowan’s little brother Jicho, and his magic ship. This book was a compelling read, if you have never read this series, I really recommend it, as Christina always develops such rich worlds with great characters. Even the baddies are inventive with their schemes. I was very happy with the outcome, and we ended on a happy note. As always it was feast for the brain, and gives the imagination at a FIVE Star work out.

Review: Off Duty

Off Duty Off Duty by Kristen Hope Mazzola
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
This book is about Sean the policeman friend of Gavin and Myla, and plenty of other characters from same world. Sean has got used to seeing his best friends happy, fulfilled and in love.
Then he gets a new partner Jessica McBee, and he works with her for a year or two before either one will admit to other how they feel.
This was a quick and I felt quite a festive read, but there is so much packed in, with the story and the time line. This is no insta lust or love, they get to become best friends and partners first and the rest follows. There is so much more but that’s it from me, you need to read it yourself. This can be read as a standalone or a great addition to the series.
