Review: Bombshell

Bombshell Bombshell by C.D. Reiss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I reviewed this for Book Addict Live,
We first met Brad and Cara at the West Side Nannies,Cara supporting her friend Blakely who was being interview for a new position. When “BRING THE WET ONES” the call for anyone looking after children. The meeting with Nicole is when she had pooped herself out of fear of being left with strangers. Cara manages to care and clean the child. Then Brad an A list Superstar who is used to getting his own way hires Cara and Blakely to look after his little girl.
Little Nicole immediately takes a shine to Cara and so does Brad. He falls for from the beginning, but Cara plays by the rules especially after what happened to Blakely. This book is great, the Bombshell from the title is Nicole a 5 year old that has been sent to live with her father after her mother dies. Brad is still in a state of shock not knowing anything about children.
I loved this story, the relationship between Brad, Nicole and Cara was wonderful to watch develop, I can’t recommend this book enough. Come and enjoy another winner from CD Reiss. I’ve already ordered the Audio edition on May 1st, so I can enjoy it all over again.

Review: Faking It with Damian

Faking It with Damian Faking It with Damian by D.J. Hunnam
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I reviewed this book on behalf of Book Addict live.
I absolutely fell in love with Damian, I thought he was great and I want to keep him. This story is set in the workplace where the sparks were flying between Damian and Janice.
The only thing I couldn’t get over is Janice being so cold with him, I know it warmed up, but I couldn’t warm up to her character. It maybe because I want her man.
I really enjoyed this really sexy romance, there was plenty of other things going on with Damian and Janice that kept me reading straight through in one seating. If you love a hot romance with plenty to get your teeth into this is the book for you.

Review: Harmful Rush: A Remedy Stand-Alone Novel

Harmful Rush: A Remedy Stand-Alone Novel Harmful Rush: A Remedy Stand-Alone Novel by Debra Doxer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I reviewed this book on behalf of Book Addict. Live
Harmful Rush is the first book I have read by Debra Doxer and won’t be the last. Although set in the Remedy world, it can be read as a standalone.
I have to say this book had surprises, I just imagined a girl goes to college meets cute guy with the usual angst. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Skylark Samuels is a girl with a secret, a secret that was exposed during a shooting at her school. Skylark goes to college away from home until things quieten down and it’s the best thing she did.
This is a book I really enjoyed, it was different in many respects, but Sky and Dylan were great together and she saves him in more ways than one. This was a love story with the paranormal thrown in, which combined made an enjoyable mixture. I also loved Trevor and Maggie they made me smile.

Review: The Bohemian and the Businessman

The Bohemian and the Businessman The Bohemian and the Businessman by Katy Regnery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I reviewed this book for Book Addict live,
This is a lovely story about Priscilla, the wild arty sister and a straight-laced Shane who she teases all the time when she worked at her father’s company.
When she comes home from Paris desperately needing help, the only one she can turned to is Shane. They have an agreement a marriage of convenience, for a year to get her inheritance, and Shane should get his promotion.
Nothing goes to plan as Priscilla and Shane discover when they become engaged. As more secrets are spilled, the attraction has become more real every day. As usual I loved this book from Katy Regnery, lots of romance with a hot hunks and strong heroines. This story just flowed and was a beautiful read.
Now I can’t wait for the other Story Sisters to get HEA.

Review: Unfinished Night: The Complete Duet

Unfinished Night: The Complete Duet Unfinished Night: The Complete Duet by Violet Duke
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I reviewed this book for Book Addict Live,
I have reviewed as two Books to keep the story straight.
Before That Night Book one
This was a very emotional read, pulling you into the story and play on your heartstrings.

We meet Addison as she go for a job, so she keep looking after siblings Kylie and Tanner. I should say second job, as she has a part time one that doesn’t pay enough. Addison just needs to buy time so she can save and then on her 21st birthday, then apply for custody for her siblings. While working the late shift at diner where a lot of cops come before and shifts as it is near police station. This is where she meets Caine, and they become friendly, but as the months pass this changes into something more.
I loved this book it made me cry like a baby. I was devastated at the end even though I knew there was a second book going in.
Book 2
Every night without you

We pick up the many years later and Addison moved back to the area with a different identity, and manager of a centre for the homeless halfway house. Helping family become part a community learning to help each other. Caine is driving as he spots Addison and follows her back to the centre.
We find nothing has changed with the reason she left, but Cain and Addison decide to fight the stalker together this time. It was great to meet her siblings much older selves. This book was so heartfelt I was crying and laughing loving Caine so much for his devotion to Addison. These both books are emotional and you just get pulled into the story. If you love romance with suspense and intrigue with HEA then this is for you.

Review: Low Blow

Low Blow Low Blow by Kristen Hope Mazzola
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I reviewed this for Book Addict Live,
Low Blow is not the usual sports romance. It was much better, when Griffin meets Olive it was an instant attraction which never wavered only got stronger.
Low Blow has characters from previous books, but it can be read as a standalone. It was unusual way to meet the love of your life. I loved this book, it was a wonderful story and enjoyed it all.

Review: Provocative

Provocative Provocative by Lisa Renee Jones
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I reviewed this book for Book Addict Live.
I have to say how much I love this author's books. The opening scene at the beginning of this story narrated by Nick and his very descriptive first meeting with Faith and the Bank Officials” Suit number one and number two started me off and I was hooked. Even though he is there for his own reasons, Faith captures his interest straight away. They’re both acting like its one night when they both know this is something more.
Both of them are looking for proof of foul play concerning her mother’s actions after her father died, and her mother’s death. Nick is also after the truth of his father’s death, and is there to see if Faith is involved. The more time they spend together, the more they trust each other. I love the way everything is the story draws you in, and before you know it the end and you realise there is more going on than you thought, and it is definitely deadly for someone. Now I have to wait for part two. As always the sex is hot, Nick is a sexy alpha that loves Faith’s provocative nature.

Review: His Human Rebel

His Human Rebel His Human Rebel by Renee Rose
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I reviewed this on behalf of Book addict. Live
This is book 4 in the Zandian Masters series, this is a Sci Fi Romance with plenty of sex thrown in. I also enjoy that a 7ft male with horns wanting to mate me is one of my fantasies, the author captures this perfectly for me. I had to have a cold shower after this one.
Cambry has been a slave in a factory, and then sentence to death when she and the others humans were rescued by the Zandians. Cambry doesn’t trust anyone, and when Lundric a Zandian guard tries to make her feel safe she keeps waiting for the other shoe to drop.
After plenty of action in and out of the bedroom we finally get their Hea.Without giving anything away all the books follow on from each other, but each couple get their own story, as with the others in the series there is plenty of spanking and other alpha sexual favours Lundric wants to do to his Human mate. So now I have to go back and catch on the ones I missed.

Review: Rough Around the Soul

Rough Around the Soul Rough Around the Soul by Maria Monroe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a quick, but enjoyable read. Jake meets a young woman who asks him to sleep with her. Jake finds her attractive, not realising he has been given a false name he takes her home for the night. After a fantastic night of sex Aria leaves and he has no way to find her.
There is a lot going in this story, it is told with alternating views between Jake and Melanie which drives the story. It was a bit of insta love, with a side helping of sex thrown in.it was quick read and this is the first time I’ve read a book from this author and it won’t be my last.

Review: The Makeup Test

The Makeup Test The Makeup Test by Vanessa M. Knight
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Make-up Test is feel good romance, and with some angst with and funny bits thrown in. As with other books in the Ritter University world than can be read as standalones.

This time is Parker’s turn for romance, when she is left alone in her dorm before the Hols. Parker is desperate to finish up her last clients make-up order and then she is suddenly handcuffed with a gun aimed towards her. Campus security call the police because he thinks she is cooking Meths.

When she is arrested it starts a series of events that escalate out of control. The only good thing to come out of the situation is she meets Cade. Parker and Cade still have a lot problems to work through before they end up together. This was a quick read but with plenty going on. I enjoyed the read, and really felt for Parker, but she got her HEA. That all am going to tell you, find out for yourself.

Rough Rough by Sybil Bartel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wow I am trying to cool down that was a hot read. Jared was one hunk of a man who was not expecting to meet a woman like Sienna. He was affected straight away, and started treating her different from the beginning. There is plenty of hot sex and some of the things he says to Sienna my god hot, the steam is still coming off my kindle.

This book is part of a series of standalone books with a connected group of ex-servicemen who have the left the service with a variety of problems and use sex to cope. A enjoyed the story, lots of intrigue, great sex with a hot man what else do you want? I’m looking forward to Danes story Grind coming soon, can’t wait

Added note the Audio book has come out, I listened all the night, bringing everything to life for me.
This second instalment in the series starts two months after Matt winning the Election for the Presidency. Charlotte has been travelling with her friend in Europe, but has come back home to watch Matt be sworn in as President. They both knew going into the relationship, if he won the Presidency even though they loved each other they would part. Charlotte still loved him more than ever, and missed him so much.
Matt is still in love with Charlotte, and decided to win her back to his side.
We see through the eyes of one of the most famous couple in America and the rest of the western world how they conduct their relationship.
Matt realises he will do anything to get Charlotte back into his life. When they work closely together as Matt asked her to stand in as the Acting First Lady because he is bachelor.
We see a wonderful romance with Matt trying his to win Charlotte, and run the Country. They both are incredibly busy, but when Matt can put time aside he spends the making feel her feel loved. It hard dating the President of the United States, but both are determined to make it work. So I recommend you press that button and order the book yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

Review: A Handful of Fire

A Handful of Fire A Handful of Fire by Alexis Alvarez
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I reviewed this book for Book Addict.Live
A Handful of Fire is Wonderful story with a emotional subject matter. It is about a Shai who specialises in therapy to help children dealing with serious illness. Through treating Michael a super intelligent but an unhappy boy trying to cope with a life threatening illness, and the treatment side effects. Through treating Michael she meets and falls for his father Gabriel.
Gabriel is a widower and he isn’t coping well with his son's illness. Full of anguish he loses himself in work and vain women.
This is a romance that take time to build, and even then not everything perfect. I love this book has substance and it’s not insta love or sex. The sex is hot, but Gabriel can still be a jerk, even if he is a hot jerk. We get HEA it takes work to get there, and is all the better for it. I enjoyed it and read it in one seating, it’s not long but has plenty to get your teeth into.

Review: Oliver

Oliver Oliver by F.G. Adams
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have reviewed this on behalf the Book Addict Blog.
Soulmates destined to collide” is the perfect way to describe this beautiful second chance romance.
Oliver has been tracking a woman who has been on the run from a nightmare for 14 years. Fallyn Blackwood and her daughter have been running using false identities to get by.
Oliver has had nothing in his life for 6 years since the death of his one love. When he is handed picture of Fallyn and asked to find and protect by her sister. He slowly comes back to life as he follows her from town to town.
Finally they meet and Fallyn and Oliver really fall for each, Fallyn also a mother to fourteen year old has never had a loving relationship with a man. It was a beautiful to see Oliver earning her trust. This is the third in a series, but can be read as a standalone with its own HEA.
Fallyn was a very strong woman with what she had survived, and managed bring up her daughter on her own from a young age. Oliver was really smitten it was a great sexy romance with suspense and I really enjoyed it. A romance with that extra dimension. This definitely ticked all my boxes, and can’t wait for the next book.

Review: The Castle

The Castle The Castle by Skye Warren
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I reviewed this on behalf of the Book Addict Blog.
I have been waiting impatiently for this book and it didn’t disappoint, I read it one sitting. Wow what a wonderful trilogy, it was great to see the progression Gabriel and Avery’s relationship. He stayed true to his self, but let her in. Avery became a stronger and more aware of the world from Avery in the Pawn. I love everything about this series and it kept enthralled to the end. It was so intense Gabriel with his wonderful expressions to Avery.
I have loved this trilogy and I’m sad that it’s finished. I couldn’t put it down, but I didn’t want it to end. This series is definitely going to be one of my rereads If you want to start the Pawn is free at the moment. Also there is a spin off with Damon Scott in the King due in June I can’t wait. Skye Warren is a genius I can’t stop thinking about this book, so I’m reading the PAWN again now I know what to look for.

Forever Forever by Monica Murphy
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is reviewed for the Book Addict blog.
I have been waiting impatiently for the next episode in the life Amanda and Jordan. It was everything I wanted and more. As always the road to true love is never smooth. This book is told in alternate views of Jordan and Amanda which made the story more balanced. It was nice to hear Tuttle’s voice. You can’t read about Jordan’s home life and not feel for him. Their biggest obstacle was Jordan learning how to have a relationship with Amanda. He was so use to being on his own, and his parents were hardly good role models. It’s not my job to tell you about the whole story that’s for you to buy and read for yourself. All I will is it was worth the wait and you will love it.
