Review: Crave Me

Crave Me Crave Me by Stacey Lynn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I reviewed this on behalf Book Addict live,
Chloe has always had a crush on her sister ex-boyfriend Simon. When her sister Cassie accused Simon of abusing her, and everything went bad so she hadn’t seen him for a few years. Chloe met Simon at masquerade ball and asked him to train her as a submissive. When Simon refused Chloe joined Luminous BDSM Club, but it wasn’t until six months later after a scene gone wrong she sees Simon again. Simon is livid after seeing Chloe so badly hurt, and offers to train her one month.
Simon and Chloe were a great couple together, they were perfect for each other. What made this more interesting was seeing Chloe as a strong business woman with her own right. Simon is a high school teacher, and the hockey coach so it was important to keep his sex life private. No billionaires, just a normal couple who enjoyed BDSM. The BDSM was very light, and there is plenty of hot sex.
If you enjoy a quick sexy love story, then you should enjoy this.

Review: Found Underneath

Found Underneath Found Underneath by K.L. Kreig
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I Reviewed on behalf of Book Addict live,
Wow she has done it again, after waiting with bated breath for book two and it didn’t disappoint.
It was great catching up with Willow and Shaw and watch them paddle in waters of a relationship and love. All the while in the background we have others trying to undermine Preston’s mayoral campaign and get back at Shaw and Willows relationship.
We see lots more of Willow’s background in this part of the duo. This book puts your emotions in uproar as you go through the story with Shaw. We also get to know Shaw’s little sister Annabelle a lot better. There is a lot going on in this book and it doesn’t get much better than this wonderful duet. This was read straight through as soon as received the arc. I LOVED IT! I am waiting for the Audio edition so I can relive over again!

Review: Chance at Redemption

Chance at Redemption Chance at Redemption by Samatha Harris
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This arc was reviewed for Book Addict live,
Chance at Redemption is the story of Luke, Madison’s little brother and the bitch from hell Gwen.
Gwen’s father is a US Senator and has been indulged all her life. Finally he has had enough and cut her off. At first she thinks that he will give in, but by the time she realises he is serious she has no job and no money and breaks down in a ladies washroom. Madison feels sorry for her and hires her for her brother’s bar.
When she comes into the bar to work in 6” heels with full make up and her boobs nearly popping out of top. Luke gives her a chance and she soon learns to wear chucks instead.
Well I loved Luke and Gwen, they had so much in common with parent problems. Much to Luke’s surprise Gwen works really hard and soon becomes a firm favourite with clientele. Luke and Gwen soon become an item, all seems to be going well. Until a friend from Gwen’s previous life starts to cause trouble.
Through the love Luke shows Gwen begins she accepts herself as she is without the hair extensions and heavy make-up. This is lovely read about love and actually healing past problems. In the end I was routing for Gwen as much as Luke they made a great couple. So if you enjoy a romantic comedy with plenty going on, then this the book for you.

Review: Beltway Betrayers

Beltway Betrayers Beltway Betrayers by Taylor Marsh
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed by Book Addict live,
This book was a joy to read a suspense with side dish of romance. At the root of the problems T.J. and Alex faced in this lively adventure is their exes.
As you can read in the blurb there is a lot of unhappy people with Alex and T.J relationship. Alex is a successful life coach helping women take control in their lives. So she finds it difficult when T.J. tries to protect and advise her. The couple have only been together 6 months and it’s the first time they have fallen in love and the adjustment is hard for both of them.
So when Alex goes to Los Angeles and all hell breaks loose, the action and suspense come out to play. Without giving anything away all most of the problems they are resolved by the end of the book, but it takes is lot of action to get there. I loved Phyllis T.J.’s stepmother and Bella they showed the men what is to be strong women. This is the first book I have read from Taylor Marsh and it want be the last.

Review: Goaltending: Seattle Sockeyes Hockey

Goaltending: Seattle Sockeyes Hockey Goaltending: Seattle Sockeyes Hockey by Jami Davenport
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I reviewed for Book Addict live,
Goaltending is another sports romance from the pen of Jami Davenport. There are set in the same sports world in Seattle, but can be read completely standalone.
This was the story of Brick a twenty something playboy womaniser who spends his free time Drinking and having one night stands. After a night of carousing with friends, his is woken up early one morning and finds a 5 year old girl standing on his doorstep with a note in her hands. What’s a guy going to do when suddenly finds out he has a daughter and her mother and grandmother are both dead.
Find a nanny, in comes Amelia to the rescue. This was about falling in love with your child as well as a woman for the first time in Brick’s life. At times it was sad to see someone who thinks they are only capable of one form of behavior because that’s what they been told.
This is a sweet love story about building a family and a new life. Macy was a sweetheart and so easy to love, at times I was crying and at others smiling. So another one bites the dust in this Seattle based sports series. I’m looking forward to see who will be in the next book in the series.

Review: Set Me Free

Set Me Free Set Me Free by M.R. Leahy
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a very dark read, but a compelling one. This story revolves around a child sex slave school, where children are being taught how to please their future buyer.
This story follows little 10 year old Emmalyn whose own mother puts her there, telling her father doesn’t want her anymore. When she taken to slaves’ quarters she shares a room with a twelve child year old boy Kodah who looks after her and helps her through the nightmare that never ends.
This book follows the two until Emmalyn is sixteen and auctioned and bought by the mysterious Drifter. This book is not for the faint of heart, it deals with child abuse. It is an absolving read and it finishes on a more positive note. Book two is coming soon and I can’t wait to find out what happens and to read their HEA

Review: Set Us Free

Set Us Free Set Us Free by M.R. Leahy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

O MY GOD I have just finished book 2, and I’m blown away. When Emmalyn lost her memory after thinking Kodah was dead I was devastated. When meet every one five years later, and the girls were living in Drifter’s house in Texas. He is gradually trying to guide Emma to California to find her future and her past.
Before Emmi leaves for California she resolves to speak to her shadow that turns up once a month on 26 of every month. We know its Kodah checking on her, she knows deep down he means her no harm.
I don’t want to spoil this for you so I will say everything happens in California, and I was riveted and I read the book in one go. I can’t recommend this enough, but Bk 1 needs to be read first. This deals with sensitive subject matter, but ends with a HEA for the main couple.

Review: Dating-ish

Dating-ish Dating-ish by Penny Reid
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I reviewed on behalf of Book Addict.live,
I must say I fell in love with the Mad AI scientist Matt, and Marie the journalist that had given on dating, especially after going on a date to meet a mature bearded man who is her perfect match, and meets someone else completely. At first Marie finds Matt irritating, but gradually he starts to grow on her.
Marie (one of our knitting crew) and Matt (previously met and adored) come together in a story that is romantic and heartfelt and smart and funny. Dating-ish is a book that will speak to and appeal to a large audience. Anyone who has ever felt the very real pressure and struggle of dating will commiserate with an exasperated Marie.
The unrealistic expectations for both men and women seeking companionship will feel a kinship with both Matt and Marie. The adventures of dating and the alternatives to them are explored in this book. Marie is looking for her right person, and you will be cheering for nerdy, adorable Matt along the way.
Knitting in the City fans will get more glimpses into the group and what has been happening since the last book in the series. Dating-ish really shows the depth and the progression of their friendships and how they have branched out to include their partners as well. Dating-ish is a real winner for me, and I can’t recommend enough.
At times I was laughing out loud, my husband was quite jealous. This is a witty and sexy book. A must read for fans of Penny Reid.

Review: Duke of Manhattan

Duke of Manhattan Duke of Manhattan by Louise Bay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I reviewed for book Addict live,
Well Louise Bay has done it again, kept me glued to my Kindle from start to finish. I fell in love with Ryder he was a great book boyfriend. A real gentleman in and out of the bedroom. Another addition to her stable her wonderful romantic comedies. We have Scarlett on a night out with her sister. Still miserable with her poste divorce dating and all the boring men she was dating. When her sister encourages her to have a one night stand.
Violet dares her to speak to the hottie at the bar, who is Ryder the attraction is mutual and the sex is off the charts. Neither party expecting to meet the next day in the Boardroom.
Scarlett needs investment in her business, but Ryder’s want to buy them out, unable to reach a compromise of the Business. When Ryder’s Grandfather the Duke has a bad fall, and he finds out some unwanted news. The only way out is to marry so he can inherit The Dukedom and save his business that he built from the ground up.
They make a different kind of compromise, and you can guess the rest.
I love this story it was entertaining with some hot steamy sex thrown, and I can’t wait for the Audio Edition so I can enjoy it all again. This was definitely a five star for me.

Review: Her Alien Masters

Her Alien Masters Her Alien Masters by Renee Rose
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I reviewed for Book Addict live, 3.5 stars
Mira survived the horrific crash that had inadvertently killed the innocent inhabitants of the planet Pra’kir, facing a possible death sentence along with her four other shipmates. There is no hope of ever returning to Earth, the spaceship exploded the lives of several innocent inhabitants lost, which in turn has led to a very resentful population.
Waiting in prison Mira had anticipated a possible death sentence being requested by the families of those Pra’kirian killed when the spaceship crashed and exploded. She is astounded to discover that she and the four other shipmates are to be “fostered” into society, enabling them to give back their service within their appointed placements for the term of their individual lives.
Mira is placed with the family of three orphaned girls, currently being cared for by their totally unprepared twin uncles, their mother had been killed when her ship crashed and exploded. Within this placement she is to be fostered and disciplined by either of both Jakk and Gav’n, these two enormous HUNKS never shy from their responsibility, often coming up with their own ingenious ideas. They know if they can’t make Mira to submit to the local ways, she can be taken away from them.
Mira, a trained engineer accepts that she will never return to earth, she initially thought caring for three children would be hard however she has quickly started to care for each of them a great deal. The punishments are harder to handle, however the benefits implemented by these two gorgeous hunks more than make up for it in the sex dept. It’s great addition to the series the characters were larger than life, there was plenty of love, laughter, tears and discipline along with some amazing sexiness that will hold any readers imagination I enjoyed the book, and it was a quick easy read. Even though this number 3,it can be read as a standalone

Review: The Tempest

The Tempest The Tempest by Brit Constantine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I reviewed this book on behalf of Book Addict live,
I really did enjoy following Lenic and Felicity’s story. I like how Felicity is a vlogger and we get into her head a bit when she sees an opportunity for a video. Felicity’s character really made me laugh at times.
But deep down you can tell both Lenic and Felicity have something dark in their history. We don’t find the reason until later in the book.
I like how the story goes beyond the viral video of Lenic in the shower.
I was bit confused at first with the chapter titles, because the author quotes the characters. The book starts in Lenic’s perspective, in the prologue, but then the entire book follows Felicity’s perspective. I thought it was switching back and forth because the chapter headings had the characters’ name beneath the quote, but I caught on eventually.
Lenic’s perspective does come back later on in the book, and I like how he is portrayed.  I managed to overlook those details and I remained focus on knowing the story, learning more about the characters. At times I couldn’t stop my imagination going Viral especially the charity car wash event with Lenic’s friends stripped to the waist

I will say there is a lot of sex in this story, but it was used to show the growing intimacies in and out bed. All in all an enjoyable read, I loved the epilogues. It was a very intense relationship with an HEA

Review: Resurrecting Hope

Resurrecting Hope Resurrecting Hope by Jane Anthony
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I reviewed this book for Book Addict.live,

Wow! What an amazing book! I was hooked from the beginning to the end! Once I started I couldn't put it down! Resurrecting Hope is hot, sexy, and heartbreaking and will keep you on the edge of your seat!
We see Hope’s previous life through her journal entries, and begin to feel her fear.
Hank Lawless definitely did not disappoint! Hank is an alpha male that's tough and very good with his hands, he's sweet and loving and so deliciously hot!!!
Hope Moon is a sweet and kind single mom that's guarded and righty so! The pain and suffering she experienced from her mobster husband just broke my heart. The chemistry between Hank and Hope is so sexy and passionate it will leave you swooning and begging for more. This is Jane Anthony's first dark romance and in my opinion she nailed it! Jane you are amazing!!! I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves an amazing read with dark subject, which Hank and Hope overcome to get a second chance and their HEA. All About the D All About the D by Lex Martin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have reviewed this book for Book Addict live,
WOW what I can say about the D, I thought it was hilarious and so topical because you see interesting blogs happening all the time. I thought Josh and Evie were great together you could feel the rapport between then, as well as the sparks. They had fun together and the relationship felt right. If you enjoy a romantic comedy with a completely different slant then this is for you. I thoroughly enjoyed it. After I finished reading I had a big smile on my face.

Review: Bombshell

Bombshell Bombshell by C.D. Reiss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I reviewed this for Book Addict Live,
This is an addition to the original review, I listened to the Audio edition and it was great. I thoroughly recommend.
We first met Brad and Cara at the West Side Nannies,Cara supporting her friend Blakely who was being interviewed for a new position. When “BRING THE WET ONES” the call for anyone looking after children. Cara's meeting with Nicole is when she had pooped herself out of fear of being left with strangers. Cara manages to care and clean the child. Then Brad an A list Superstar who is used to getting his own way hires Cara and Blakely to look after his little girl.
Little Nicole immediately takes a shine to Cara and so does Brad. He falls for her from the beginning, but Cara plays by the rules especially after what happened to Blakely. This book is great, the Bombshell from the title is Nicole a 5 year old that has been sent to live with her father after her mother dies. Brad is still in a state of shock not knowing anything about children.
I loved this story, the relationship between Brad, Nicole and Cara was wonderful to watch develop, I can’t recommend this book enough. Come and enjoy another winner from CD Reiss. I’ve already ordered the Audio edition on May 1st, so I can enjoy it all over again.

Review: Sonora: And The Eye of the Titans

Sonora: And The Eye of the Titans Sonora: And The Eye of the Titans by T.S. Hall
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I This first book of a series, so there was a lot of world building so there is a lot to take in and a lot we still need to discover, but Sonora and the Eye of the Titans sets everything up nicely and I am already in the “I need to know what happens next” mode.
I really liked our 4 main characters Allora, Katie, Dax, and Tanner as well as the secondary ones in the form of the adults. A part of me wanted to kick Allora and Tanner’s asses in gear, I mean really but I guess that opens up the story into more interesting moments between the two.
As usual, I am not going to share too much of the plot because I want you to read the book; and where would the fun be if I made it all easy for you all.
I think the story line is really interesting and original as I tend to love any sort of twists to my favourite old myths and this baby right here fits the bill. I am going to highly recommend it and hope that the next book in the series is available soon as I am an impatient one!
I am keeping my eyes out for this series and for anything that Travis will come up with. as the series has wonderful potential and what matters is what happens next.
