Review: Dragon Claimed: A Dark Kings Novella

Dragon Claimed: A Dark Kings Novella Dragon Claimed: A Dark Kings Novella by Donna Grant
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Dragon Claimed is a novella from the dragon Kings series but can be read as a standalone. Also, if you are fan of the Series and Its real treat. This time its Cináed turn to find his mate.

While doing research Cináed finds a newspaper with a picture of a young Gemma being found with the rest of  the family missing and for some reason he has to find out what happens. So, starts the adventure and when meets Gemma he is determined to give her closure. This was a novella with the heart of a novel with so much going on.

A great dip into the Dragon Kings, and an enjoyable novella. Hot hunky men and steamy passion and a happy for now ending.

Review: The Fallback

The Fallback The Fallback by Mariah Dietz
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,
Fallback starts when workaholic Brooke arrives home early and finds her boyfriend of six years in bed with another woman, which causes her to question everything she believes.

Heartbroken she goes to her best friends after Brookes walks out of her home.
When she meets the boss’s son, she falls but keeps questioning her feelings.
This is a sweet romance with a slow build as Brookes tries to friend zone him. I really loved Levi he seemed a great guy and refused to be pushed away.
An enjoyable and easy read, something for a Sunday afternoon and to put a smile on your face. you have all read the blurb so I not going to give anything away. It was great when she started a blog and it was successful.

Review: The D-Man

The D-Man The D-Man by Stephanie Julian
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
I’M VERY LUCKY TO HAVE A GREAT START TO THE New Year it’s seems I’ve had the pleasure to enjoy every book I’ve read so far, and this book was so different.
I love sports romances, but this was different where our hero Justin comes across shy and reserved toward Vivi the waitress his has pining after for a while but is nervous about asking her out.

Vivi has sworn of men and her ex left a nasty taste in her mouth, but when Justin a Redtails Defense-men asks her out she can’t say no. Justin was a real sweetheart, but when she finally gets him bed and sees his body and ink, he leaves her craving more.

This was an entertaining and sweet romance with just the right amount of heat. I thoroughly enjoyed it and after reading it left a nice smile on my face after finishing my read.

Review: Reckless: a book tied to the Cotton Creek Saga

Reckless: a book tied to the Cotton Creek Saga Reckless: a book tied to the Cotton Creek Saga by Ciana Stone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,
This is a different kind a book than the usual books based in Cotton Creek. This is thriller through and through, the love interest is between the main couple Morgan and Cord Alexander who have been married for over 20 years and are still madly in love.

Unfortunately, someone is up to no good, and putting everyone in danger and pointing the finger at Cord. This full of action with the FBI and CIA and a malicious adversary controlling everything behind the scenes.

This is more along the lines of some Ciana early thrillers that I adored. This one kept me gripped and wanting more. I can’t wait for Ruthless in March.

Review: Inner Diverse

Inner Diverse Inner Diverse by Nina Munteanu
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Review on http://bookaddict.live,
The second book starts with non-stop action, with Reah getting caught and betrayed everywhere she goes. In the first book I found it hard to relate to Rhea in the beginning. In this book I felt more invested in the outcome.  In this book we find out more about the Inner Diverse. In this we find out so much more about the conspiracy to destroy some of the human colonies. As always I get all excited and on tenterhooks and then it finishes. I am now looking forward to  listening to the Book three to find out more. We have Reah somehow managing to escape all the traps she walked into. I hope we get a final resolution for Reah as her heart’s in the right place.

Review: Outer Diverse

Outer Diverse Outer Diverse by Nina Munteanu
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,
This is the first book in a new series and the first from this author for me. We follow the misadventures of Reah Hawke an Galactic Guardian, who is investigating mass murder of a Religious Sect. This is a long listen and you have concentrated at first to get the picture on Reah, the universe she inhabits. We follow Reah’s investigation with a tough and gruff EXTERIOR HIDES of things that have happened in her past that have haunted her ever since. The more you learn the more you want to KNOW. There is one concession when I finished there is book two to listen too.
The narration is addicting leaving you wanting more.

Review: Deep in the Heart

Deep in the Heart Deep in the Heart by Alexa Padgett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Wow what a book it so emotional, I was gripped from the beginning. Jenna was so unlucky in love until she meets Camden Grace a sexy singer who needs Jenna to make him a new guitar as he smashed his old one in a fit of grieve when his father dies.

This is about to damaged people that find each other. It was so beautiful to watch them come together and help each other heal. As always in these stories there is someone that wants to hurt Jenna. This is also about learning to trust each other with their hearts. I’m not saying anymore except to say you are in for a real treat. To date I had only read the Cici Gurule mysteries, so this was my first romance from Alexa Padgett and I have to say I’m hooked.

Review: Evidence of Desire

Evidence of Desire Evidence of Desire by Lexi Blake
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf http://bookaddict.live,
What an addictive read I couldn’t put it down. When David Cormack was woken up to go and protect a murder suspect Trey Adams, a football hero who now suffers with CTE. Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (every Athlete’s nightmare). One David has a chance of getting CTE as a retired Baller. Sorry back to the review, just to say CTE is something that David fears everyday and this case brings it to the fore.

When he arrives with his team, he meets Isla Shayne the attorney that requested him personally. The attraction grows as they work together to protect Trey and find the real killer.

This has it all murder, suspense and love. It was so beautiful to watch Isla and David fall in love and stay together with help from friends and family who love them. As the ADA goes through the Adams children as suspects. We don’t find out who done it near the end, and plenty of action to keep you gripped to your book. This is only book two in the Courting Justice series, so I can’t wait for more.

Review: Finding Alexei

Finding Alexei Finding Alexei by Kendall Ryan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Wow I really loved this book, especially Alexei he was a lovely guy that I kept wanting to grap him and hug him to my heaving breasts. Sorry about that I am getting carried away. When he helps Ryleigh out of a terrible situation, and the way he is with Ella was so beautiful.

That’s get back to the story, Alexei takes in Ryleigh who has been left with her roommate’s baby. The only thing is Ryleigh has no clue about taking care of babies, and much to her surprise a big bad football player is wonderful with babies. On top of that he can cook and is loyal.Lets face it what more do you want.

This is funny, heartbreaking and a story of love, and great to catch up with Jane and Westin. I think this is one of my favourites. Kendall Ryan has written a wonderful entertaining story and I loved it, Alexei was just so lovable I am so hooked

Review: Micaden's Madness

Micaden's Madness Micaden's Madness by V.F. Mason
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,
Well I loved Lachlan’s Protégé, but this was unputdownable. We are still with the dark subject matter, so you have been warned.
When I starting to read the book, I thought I start to read a little bit before bed. Then I started this compelling and gripping read, and the next thing I notice is that its light outside and I had read all night.

What starts out as teenagers falling in love for the first time intense and passionate. The perfect summer on the Island and then Emerald parents suddenly visit the Island and they put into motion a nightmare that lasts 10 years.

I not saying any more except this is a dark read with distressing storyline that compels the reader hoping for their luck will change. This had it all, a story that won’t let you go, but written with alternate points of view and some of story is told with flashbacks. This is a dark read intense read, if  that's what you enjoy this is your cup a tea. I can't wait for the next book, I'll just have read this again while I wait.

Review: One Chance, Fancy

One Chance, Fancy One Chance, Fancy by Lani Lynn Vale
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
This is such a great Series and todays review is about Hoax’s cousin Bayou and Pru’s sister Phoebe. This is starts in such a cute way. Phoebe age 15 meets Benson while hiding in the shadows. Phoebe hates the big club function and she is not used to meet anyone else there. Every time there is a club function Phoebe looks for Benson. When he joins the Army Phoebe keeps track of his life, never forgetting the Boy she felt she knew in the shadows.
Finally, Phoebe has finished her nursing degree and is a qualified as a nurse and goes for a job at the prison. To her surprise gets interviewed by Bayou the Warden who is as  young man Phoebe always called Benson. Bayou is an accomplished and confidant man, but Phoebe can’t help herself and is still so attracted to him.
I have to say this one of my favourite couples in the series, watching them get together is a real treat. Bayou was a wonderful man but can’t believe Fancy his nickname Phoebe would give him a chance not realising how Phoebe feels about him.
As we know that the road to true love is paved, with a few psychotic A… holes wanting to stop love getting a happy ending. This has everything Love, Sex, drama, cute animals sweet children. This is a must read, as the whole series has been. I loved reading about Bayou and Phoebe it was a delight. The epilogue was a real treat.

Then she meets two more grade A beefcakes and can’t believe all three want her, and she can’t wait to get to grip with three tall, well build studs. Later when Julia Rath’s baby sister starts, to protect her Rath tells her to dress down. So, when Julia turns up at the Frat party unfortunately it has the opposite effect on Bram. After getting to know Julia, he asks her out which she thinks it’s a joke and says no.

Bram loses a bet with his boys, the forfeit is to take Julia’s dating test she has created for her business. Little does she know Bram loses on purpose, so he can get closer to her. Julia fights all the way, and that’s when the fun starts. This is Meghan at her best, one minute your laughing then your knees go weak because Bram is so determined that Julia is his everything. This is a perfect book for the new year, uplifting, full of promise and great entertainment. I loved it, so don’t miss out start the new year with Bram and Julia you want regret it.
