Second Chance: another romance for the over 40 Second Chance: another romance for the over 40 by L.B. Dunbar
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
This really is a second chance romance, when we have Mati , Chris and Denton all best friends until Mati changes in all the right places and both boys fell in love with her.
As these happen with something story Mati married after getting pregnant with twin boys.
We fast forward and comes back to town because his mother is dying. Mati is now a widow and a man she secretly loved is back in town. At ripe old age of forty is secretly pleased his back and Mati wants to ease Denton's heartache.
Being more mature you would not think a second chance romance is even more complicated, but the path to true happiness is paved with relatives and children.
This is the second book of L.D Dunbar I read and I enjoyed the fact I was reading about more mature relationships. I loved Denton I thought he has plenty of sex appeal and I enjoyed this book. I married my second at 40 so it great to relate to the characters.

Hollywood Playboy Hollywood Playboy by Natasha Madison
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Wow I loved this book I couldn’t put it down. Tyler Beckett is a sought after actor and he is tired of Jessica Hawthorn writing stories about him that aren’t true . So when his new film has being released they have organised a 30 day tour where he would travel with the same reporters as he travels around the world for the premier. The only reporter that he wants no part of is Jessica Hawthorn.
When Jessica is told by her boss that she is on tour with Tyler she wants no part of it. Both Tyler and Jessica are overruled so they both know this is a recipe for disaster.
The book follows the tour and the one thing neither expected happened they became friends and then lovers. How the Hell did that happen? You ask. Well it is a fascinating, entertaining and sexy swoony read and I loved it. Tyler and Jessica are great together so don’t miss this rocky road to love.

Review: Anton

Anton Anton by Brenda Rothert
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,
Anton is a sports romance in the Chicago Blaze Series, this is the first I have read from the series and I’m impressed as this was so much more than a frothy romance. Anton Petrov has quietly fallen for Mia one of his team mate’s wife. As she is married, he has made no attempt to connect just admired from a far. When he finds her working in a bar until 2am every morning. Anton then discovers that Mia and Adam are separated, and she is in hiding from him.
Anton tries to help her get Lawyer she needs Mia can be free of Adam. Anton supports Mia become her own person.
This is a slow burn as Mia has been bitten badly, but Anton is a great guy and puts Mia first. It was a pleasure to watch them reach their happily ever after. A Great romance with Anton who in my head look like the model on the book cover. I’m only now just cooling off.

Striptease was a entertaining read from start to finish. Grace has an eight-year-old daughter Fallan. Grace has given up trying to find the baby daddy after he gave her a false name.
Grace sees an advert about a striptease in aid of a charity. Feeling bored she persuade her friend Siobhan to travel to Beaver Bend.
Brandon has arrived for the annual event with his best friends, not realising how his life is going to change.
I really enjoyed this book, it was so entertaining I couldn’t put it down. Grace and Brandon were a great and I was invested in their journey to a happy family from being single. I’m looking forward to reading Siobhan and Sullivan’s father’s romance that is one I don’t want to miss.
This is a complete standalone, but some of the characters from previous books in the Tap That Series may appear.

Clem is amazed to finds out Ed is her ex and she broke his heart.
Clem has no memory of their relationship or any feelings. Ed is fantastic helping Clem even though she is different from before. The new Clem is more forthright and speaks her mind and is lovely and snarky. The story is told from Clem’s pov, and wonderfully done.
This book blew me away, Andi Arnt was fantastic as Clem, your pulled into the story and can’t stop listening. This is one seating listen, walking around with earphones all day. The love interest is sexy swoony Ed the absolute best book boyfriend. A five star listen. I loved it. This is an Audible Original, the book will be release later in the year.

Rhea and her helpers are running out of time so save the outer verse from war. There is so much happening in this book it keeps you listening far into the night. Finally we get all the answers and even some a happy ending for some of the characters.

The Narration was perfection Dawn is Rhea. As I always feel with audiobooks if I am in the world I’m listening too, I don’t notice the narration. I wasn’t pulled from this exciting story once, thank you Dawn!

Thom and Liam help new witches by training them and when they can look after themselves, they go back to the real world safe. The brothers were HOT I had to say that, there is a lot of jealousy between them as they both wanted Alana.

That the bones of what goes on, this is action all the way and kept me mesmerized to the end. The brothers were HOT I had to say that, there is a lot of jealousy When I got there, I wanted to go back and start again. Great start to a exciting series.

Review: Cruel Money

Cruel Money Cruel Money by K.A. Linde
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Wow what a start to a trilogy it had it all, love Natalie meets Penn on her last night in Paris and loses her virginity and in the morning, he is gone without a word. To appreciate how that made Natalie feel, and how special it was I advise you to read ONE CRUEL NIGHT which is free at the moment. It will give you the insight to how Natalie feels when they meet 6 years later in Cruel Money.
Let’s get back to Cruel Money, Natalie is housesitting in the Hamptons when Penn arrives with his friends. All rich and entitled with too much time on there hands. When Penn is shouted at by what they call the help his friends find it entertaining. They set into motion unbeknown to Natalie a disaster in the making.
Natalie is an author and is writing hopefully a bestseller, with plenty of hot romance.
I loved Natalie independent, mature a mistrust of men because of Penn. Penn was straddling two worlds which was stopping him living completely in one. Happiest with just Natalie and Aristotle. This first installment of the trilogy has all the ingredients to pull into the story. A hot guy, a romance writer in the making. Natalie and Penn were great together, but we have angst waiting to happen.
I thought Natalie is great strong mature for her age, being only 23 and when Penn took her virginity she was only 18. It was very special for Natalie, and you can read about in One Cruel Night a prequel to the trilogy. There is nothing stopping just reading Cruel Money, but I think it gives you a greater understanding of Natalie’s actions when she meets Penn again.

Review: The Princess

The Princess The Princess by Lisa Renee Jones
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Lisa has done it again left me all worked up with no where to go until Empire. The Princess started where The Bastard finished, straight into to danger and action from the start.
We find out some more of whats happening and who’s behind all the attacks we still aren’t sure. The love and affection heat up between Eric and Harper, high octane all the way.
We all know Lisa writes strong women and big sexy alpha’s that fall hard for their woman. The sex was super-hot between the two when they finally get to Eric’s home. They both fall much deeper for each other.
There is so much going on I had to read through the night and couldn’t put it down. So again, I feel cut off and having withdrawal symptoms until Empire in March.

I love sports romances, but this was different where our hero Justin comes across shy and reserved toward Vivi the waitress his has pining after for a while but is nervous about asking her out.

Vivi has sworn of men and her ex left a nasty taste in her mouth, but when Justin a Redtails Defense-men asks her out she can’t say no. Justin was a real sweetheart, but when she finally gets him bed and sees his body and ink, he leaves her craving more.

This was an entertaining and sweet romance with just the right amount of heat. I thoroughly enjoyed it and after reading it left a nice smile on my face after finishing my read.

Reckless: a book tied to the Cotton Creek Saga Reckless: a book tied to the Cotton Creek Saga by Ciana Stone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,
This is a different kind a book than the usual books based in Cotton Creek. This is thriller through and through, the love interest is between the main couple Morgan and Cord Alexander who have been married for over 20 years and are still madly in love.

Unfortunately, someone is up to no good, and putting everyone in danger and pointing the finger at Cord. This full of action with the FBI and CIA and a malicious adversary controlling everything behind the scenes.

This is more along the lines of some Ciana early thrillers that I adored. This one kept me gripped and wanting more. I can’t wait for Ruthless in March.

Review on http://bookaddict.live,
The second book starts with non-stop action, with Reah getting caught and betrayed everywhere she goes. In the first book I found it hard to relate to Rhea in the beginning. In this book I felt more invested in the outcome.  In this book we find out more about the Inner Diverse. In this we find out so much more about the conspiracy to destroy some of the human colonies. As always I get all excited and on tenterhooks and then it finishes. I am now looking forward to  listening to the Book three to find out more. We have Reah somehow managing to escape all the traps she walked into. I hope we get a final resolution for Reah as her heart’s in the right place.

This is a long listen and you have concentrated at first to get the picture on Reah, the universe she inhabits. We follow Reah’s investigation with a tough and gruff EXTERIOR HIDES of things that have happened in her past that have haunted her ever since. The more you learn the more you want to KNOW. There is one concession when I finished there is book two to listen too.
The narration is addicting leaving you wanting more.

This is about to damaged people that find each other. It was so beautiful to watch them come together and help each other heal. As always in these stories there is someone that wants to hurt Jenna. This is also about learning to trust each other with their hearts. I’m not saying anymore except to say you are in for a real treat. My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf http://bookaddict.live,
What an addictive read I couldn’t put it down. When David Cormack was woken up to go and protect a murder suspect Trey Adams, a football hero who now suffers with CTE. Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (every Athlete’s nightmare). One David has a chance of getting CTE as a retired Baller. Sorry back to the review, just to say CTE is something that David fears everyday and this case brings it to the fore.

When he arrives with his team, he meets Isla Shayne the attorney that requested him personally. The attraction grows as they work together to protect Trey and find the real killer.

This has it all murder, suspense and love. It was so beautiful to watch Isla and David fall in love and stay together with help from friends and family who love them. As the ADA goes through the Adams children as suspects. We don’t find out who done it near the end, and plenty of action to keep you gripped to your book. This is only book two in the Courting Justice series, so I can’t wait for more.

Wow I really loved this book, especially Alexei he was a lovely guy that I kept wanting to grap him and hug him to my heaving breasts. Sorry about that I am getting carried away. When he helps Ryleigh out of a terrible situation, and the way he is with Ella was so beautiful.

That’s get back to the story, Alexei takes in Ryleigh who has been left with her roommate’s baby. The only thing is Ryleigh has no clue about taking care of babies, and much to her surprise a big bad football player is wonderful with babies. On top of that he can cook and is loyal.Lets face it what more do you want.

This is funny, heartbreaking and a story of love, and great to catch up with Jane and Westin. I think this is one of my favourites. Kendall Ryan has written a wonderful entertaining story and I loved it, Alexei was just so lovable I am so hooked

Well I loved Lachlan’s Protégé, but this was unputdownable. We are still with the dark subject matter, so you have been warned.
When I starting to read the book, I thought I start to read a little bit before bed. Then I started this compelling and gripping read, and the next thing I notice is that its light outside and I had read all night.

What starts out as teenagers falling in love for the first time intense and passionate. The perfect summer on the Island and then Emerald parents suddenly visit the Island and they put into motion a nightmare that lasts 10 years.

I not saying any more except this is a dark read with distressing storyline that compels the reader hoping for their luck will change. This had it all, a story that won’t let you go, but written with alternate points of view and some of story is told with flashbacks. This is a dark read intense read, if  that's what you enjoy this is your cup a tea. I can't wait for the next book, I'll just have read this again while I wait.

This is such a great Series and todays review is about Hoax’s cousin Bayou and Pru’s sister Phoebe. This is starts in such a cute way. Phoebe age 15 meets Benson while hiding in the shadows. Phoebe hates the big club function and she is not used to meet anyone else there. Every time there is a club function Phoebe looks for Benson. When he joins the Army Phoebe keeps track of his life, never forgetting the Boy she felt she knew in the shadows.
Finally, Phoebe has finished her nursing degree and is a qualified as a nurse and goes for a job at the prison. To her surprise gets interviewed by Bayou the Warden who is as  young man Phoebe always called Benson. Bayou is an accomplished and confidant man, but Phoebe can’t help herself and is still so attracted to him.
I have to say this one of my favourite couples in the series, watching them get together is a real treat. Bayou was a wonderful man but can’t believe Fancy his nickname Phoebe would give him a chance not realising how Phoebe feels about him.
As we know that the road to true love is paved, with a few psychotic A… holes wanting to stop love getting a happy ending. This has everything Love, Sex, drama, cute animals sweet children. This is a must read, as the whole series has been. I loved reading about Bayou and Phoebe it was a delight. The epilogue was a real treat.
