Review: Her Cyborg

Her Cyborg Her Cyborg by Nellie C. Lind
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I saw this book and fancied something different, and the description intrigued me.
To have the ability to handpick a man to your on specifications, that loves you as soon as his eyes open.
I really enjoyed it, Phoebe decided she wanted her own Cyborg and fell for Shade straight away, but that was just the beginning. Plenty of world building as this is book one. There was plenty of action in and out of the bedroom.
So step into the future. Have you been unlucky in love? Then have your own Cyborg built, I love this step into the future and am looking forward to Wind and Celeste's story.

Review: Charming Hannah

Charming Hannah Charming Hannah by Kristen Proby
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Charming Hannah is the first in a trilogy of books set in Cunningham Falls, even though some of characters may appear in each book, each book is a complete story and can be read as standalone.
Police Chief Brad Hull or” Chief Sexy Pants” is intent on charming Hannah the red headed sexy doctor, into his life, and that’s all he can think about. When they finally get together their chemistry is molten Hot.
It is a great to read an adult relationship where there are no silly misunderstandings. Brad will not let Hannah push him away when she get the anxiety attacks that plaque her life. He won’t be pushed away, he shows Hannah how much he cares and holds her through each one helping her through them.
When we first meet them they are both workaholics, as Brad became Chief of Police and Hannah is a Doctor an OB/GYN and works all the time with very little time left over for a personal life.
I loved meeting this great couple who gradually learnt to let another person in their lives. So this book follows Hannah and Brad as they learn they can have the life they want together. I loved reading about Cunningham Falls and the community that live there. This also part of the big sky series. The surroundings give you a feeling of being there where all the action takes place. I can thoroughly recommend this book, as it left me with a happy contented feeling.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Lots of things.

He paints sad pictures.
And strums lonely guitars.
He drowns out the taunting voices while shunning the expected norms.

I let them hurt him.
I wasn’t strong enough to speak out.
I hurt him, too, only to prove I wasn’t just like him.

Review: Duty Bound

Duty Bound Duty Bound by Christina Bauer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Finally I have the opportunity to read Duty Bound the prequel to Angelbound. In some ways we all feel we know and love Lincoln. The one thing that stood out for me was the pressure he is under and how alone he feels. As we know in the later books, the trouble the house of Acca cause for our feisty heroine in future books in the Angelbound Series.
Also after reading this book, it explained his absolute devotion the Myla as she was made for him. The book is an eye opener as it was great to hear Lincoln voice, it’s a treat I wouldn’t have wanted to miss. More from Lincoln Please Ms Bauer. I’m just off to read Angelbound for Myla and Lincoln’s first meeting again.

Review: Vladimir

Vladimir Vladimir by Kat Mizera
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Vladimir is slightly different from the normal type of Sports Romance we used to. When Vlad meets Rachel it was almost love at first sight. Everything appears to be moving so well until Vladimir does the unthinkable. This is told in dual pov using flashbacks of the relationship. Vladimir loved Rachel, but did not feel good enough because off his feeling of abandonment after being left by his mother as baby.
So Vladimir goes the Russia to found out why he was deserted as baby.
While Vladimir is finding himself, life has kicked Rachel in the teeth, and Vlad going was only the beginning. That’s all I am saying as you need to read this intense and complicated romance.
This book has complicated emotional content and you can’t help being pulled into the story. So get your tissues out you going to need them.

Review: Driving Whiskey Wild

Driving Whiskey Wild Driving Whiskey Wild by Melissa Foster
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of httpt://bookaddict.live,
I love this series, and always enjoy life in Pleasant Harbour and the Whiskey boys. I loved Bullet he was a great character, with no real idea on how talk to Finlay, “Would you like a ride on the Bullet train.” I do love Melissa’s stories you know you get strong sassy woman and Alpha hotness in the men you know are just waiting for the right woman.
They are standalone stories which you can visit, and enjoy the romance and catch up with past characters in the stories. I loved this one Bullet was a great hero, was suffering for his time in the service with flashbacks and nightmares. That all changed the more Bullet got to know Finlay. Finlay has a wonderful sunny personality  and just the right girl for Bullet.
As always with a Melissa Foster book an enjoyable read with great characters and plenty going on, which left me with a smile on my face and sense of satisfaction from a great story.

Review: Four

Four Four by Archer Kay Leah
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book two in The Republic Series, but can be read as a standalone.
This story is obviously set in the same world as book one, but a completely different couple complete with HEA.
This book centers on Mayr the Head of the Guard for a prominent family.
Mayr is lovely man, handsome, loyal, but has been very badly treated by his previous Partners.
He comes from a close nit family, all he ever wanted was someone to love and complete him.
The truth is that nothing worth having is ever easy, and all the best things in life are the result of pain. In the end, that's what makes the good things go very great,
and that's what makes it all worth the struggle.

I think that describes this beautiful love story. At its heart is about finding that one person that completes you.
Mayr meets Tash through one of his exes who he meets for a threesome.
Tash is a priest, who is getting ready to become an Uldana Priest which unfortunately will mean he will be unable to have close sexual relationship with anyone.
Even though they decide to keep everything casual, which would be okay if only both men didn’t feel this strong connection neither one expected.
I not saying anymore except it pulled on my heartstrings.
I have read this authors work before and he knows how to pull you into the different worlds he creates and spits me out after I have been put through emotional ringer.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a beautiful but heartbreaking love story set in a fantasy setting.

Review: Wicked Soul

Wicked Soul Wicked Soul by Nora Ash
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
I have been lucky this month with the opportunity to read some paranormal romance, and enjoy it. At one time that was all I read and then I took a break, only reading a few of my favourite authors. So I was looking forward to reading this one, and I didn’t even read the blurb as I wanted to go in blind. I so glad I did I thoroughly enjoyed it. We have witches, skin walkers and vampires and I loved every minute of it.
We have Olivia, who is kidnapped for reading a romance with a vampire hero in it. In this world the public know that vampires exist. Olivia is then thrown in a cage with what she thinks is an ordinary young man. That’s all I‘m to say because I don’t want to spoil it.
This book has love, sex, action as fighting for your life action and did I say witches. There is plenty to get your teeth into, and this is the beginning of a Series which I am going to read. So if you love to read new Paranormal Series give it a go.

Review: More Than Love You

More Than Love You More Than Love You by Shayla Black
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
This is book three in the More Than Words Series, and this time features Griff and Maxim’s little sister Harlow. As her brothers are Real Estate Agents and need someone to house sit. So after her aborted marriage to Simon this is an ideal situation. So there she is sunbathing in her tiny red bikini when in walks a large handsome sexy man who happens to be newly retired super bowl championship NFL player Noah Western.
Noah arrives at his new home early and thinks it’s a mirage as he sees his perfect woman. This is how our lovebirds Noah and Harlow meet and its instant lust. This is one hot romance, with lots going on in background to derail it. I loved Noah, he is a great guy with plenty of patience, and as far as Harlow and her doubts are concerned. All though this part of More Than Words Series each book is a complete story. Even though the characters and overall story arc is continued in order of the books. This is an emotional and sexy read with a happy ending with no nasty surprises. I let you read to decide the rest. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as me

Review: Romanov

Romanov Romanov by Samaire Provost
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.tive,
This is a tale about a family of vampires, nice well brought up vampires. They have been vampire for over a hundred years so they all quite strong. It is always great to have a new legend to read with plenty of adventure.
There plenty to read with this imaginative story with links to legends I haven’t read before. Anna is taking some evening classes and meets Eric in her Art class, immediately they click and slowly get to each other. Eric is human, but the love and chemistry overwhelms them. There is danger and adventure and I enjoyed every minute of it. So if you love a good paranormal with a difference then this is for you. I will definitely keep an eye out for more from this author.

Review: The Wrong Kind of Love

The Wrong Kind of Love The Wrong Kind of Love by Lexi Ryan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
This is a sweet romance that I enjoyed very much, and look forward to reading more about the Jacksons of Jackson Harbour. We meet Nicola who runs to Jackson Harbour when she finds out, just as she has walked down the aisle that her twin sister Veronica is pregnant with her fiancée’s baby. Fleeing she grabs the wrong bag and ends up with her sisters bag so with her ID ends up where Veronica was going to work for Dr McMoody pants Ethan Jackson a widower with a young daughter Lily who needs so one look after her. So against her better judgement Nic stands in for her sister.
The first night there she meets a man in the bar and while tipsy ends up taking him to her room at the hotel. The man refuses to take advantage of her drunken state. We all know whats going to happen, you guessed it her employer turns out to be Dr Ethan Jackson McMoody Pants.
This is the first of the Jackson brothers to get his woman. Nic ends up working for Ethan, even though the sexual tension is high. This is story of two broken people learning to trust and to love again. As we know the path to true love never runs smooth, but at least runs the right way. An enjoyable romance with plenty of heart, and lots of handsome Jacksons to look forward to.

Review: Hail Mary

Hail Mary Hail Mary by Lani Lynn Vale
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
This is the first time I have read a book from this author, and now I’m hooked and realise I have a lot of reading to catch up on. As this was my first read it didn’t take me long to pick up this author very distinctive writing style and I was away. The fact I hadn’t read any of the Hail series did not detract from my enjoyment of this book.
I assume you have read some of the blurb, Dante is heartbroken over the loss of wife and children in a car accident some years previously and was still in deep mourning when a Mary is delivered by her mother who is on the brink of dying.
Mary is only a baby, and needs all his love and attention. Marianne who was Mary’s mother only best friend Cobie is having a bad time and Dante steps in to help, and whether he likes it or not begins to join the living again. Dante fights his feelings for Cobie with all his strength.
This is also an action packed storyline running through the book, with many twists and turns so I am not giving anything away. I will say this books takes place over a couple of years so we get to know the characters well, and Dante definitely becomes my hero. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and thoroughly recommend it. Now I off to read some of the others.

Review: Midnight Valentine

Midnight Valentine Midnight Valentine by J.T. Geissinger
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Wow what a different kind of love story, this is the first book I have read by this author and it certainly won’t be last. I don’t know how I’ve missed her books.
When Megan moves to Seaside, Oregon to open a Bed and Breakfast called The Buttercup Inn. The Inn which is a beautiful Victorian building that unfortunately needs lots of renovation.
As soon as Megan arrives in town, she meets Theo Valentine the town’s recluse who happens to be the contractor working on the inn’s restoration. Whenever Megan needs help he is always there.
I loved Megan’s snark and running commentary, especially “moody raincoat guy “when she meets Theo. At its heart this is a love story, with sad tragic things they can happen in life. If you want something different, special kind of romance, then this is one for you. I loved it, and read in one go. I am not going to give anything else away. I read this and didn’t know what to expect, and it enhanced the experience.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Review: Feels Like Home

Feels Like Home Feels Like Home by Jennifer Van Wyk
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live, 3.5*
This is a romance with a difference, firstly its about more mature couple. We also have the blending of two families, and all the strife that can cause.
Andy is a 35 year old hottie that comes home and finds his wife having sex with another man. So there is drama especially caused by the ex-wife.
This is about two people who come together and discover love, and a second chance.
Christine seem too good to be true, if you want a sweet story with a more mature theme, and life after divorce, and finding love again. Unfortunately the echoes of past hurts coming back to affect you when you least expect it.
This a sweet story of finding love, and more idealist view of blending families, but entertaining all the same.

Review: Stud

Stud Stud by Kelly Siskind
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
This was an entertaining romantic comedy from Kelly Siskind, this is the first time I have read one of her books and  it won’t be the last. Sometimes we want a fun read that will bring a smile to your face. The one thing I loved was they were two normal people. Ainsley is a personal shopper who is tired of buying gifts for cheating husbands’ wives and girlfriends, it makes her uncomfortable. So to make herself feel better she volunteers at A Habitat for Humanity project. There she meets Owen, at first thinking he is gay and they become friends. Owen is making hand made furniture and volunteering at the same site as Ansley. The sexual tension is there from the beginning, and once Ansley finds out he isn’t gay. Its full steam ahead, and not a Billionaire in sight.
This is witty and enjoyable romantic comedy, and the sexual tension between Owen and Ainsley was HOT. Unfortunately they both had previous failed relationships, that effected the way they view each other. What follows is comedy of errors, love and misunderstandings. I love Owen he was a sweetie, and fell for Ainsley straight away. As we know the path to true love is never smooth. Also a good cast of characters to support the main couple. If you like a good laugh this is for you. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
