Firebinders: Marek Firebinders: Marek by Isobelle Cate
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of Book Addict.live,
What a pleasure this is to receive an ARC from Isobelle Cate for Book one in brand new Series. For fans of The Cynn Cruor Bloodline Series this spin off featuring Zac and Faith looking for more people like her, Firebinders with the ability to heal.
If you are fresh to the scene no problem, this is the start of a new series and can be read as such. Now for the book a great start to a brilliant new series, in this we meet Marek a rich oil and businessman and playboy to boot.
Gwen is a scientist working for a pharmaceuticals company when the owner makes her uneasy so Gwen gives in her notice and leaves. When two men follow her to frighten her? Marek rescues her and takes her to New Orleans until she can get a flight back to England.
New Orleans is where the adventure and action really starts in and out of the bedroom. This has everything paranormal, plenty of action and a great love story what more do want? I know the next book, I can’t wait! Addicted to another series from Isobelle Cate.

Hate to Love You Hate to Love You by Tijan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of Book Addict.live,
I loved the couple in this story, Kennedy and Shay were so great together.
We meet Kennedy at the start of her the new Semester, with strict instructions for herself. , Keep to herself, No dating all study and no drama. Even her brother Gage has to pretend not to know her public. She was so paranoid because of all the trouble that happened at High School.
All is going well until her political science class and she meets her study group. Shay Coleman gives of vibes that reminds her of her old boyfriend Parker, but better looking. Kennedy hates him on site and can’t help show it. Shay is fascinated with this feisty girl that is so entertaining.
What do I think of the book, I enjoyed reading about this entertaining couple and all the action surrounding them There is plenty going on to keep you glued to your kindle. It’s a joy to follow the development of their relationship. It was spot on, I loved all the sass and snarky comments from Kennedy. A story with plenty to keep you entertained, completely standalone new adult book. I can’t recommend enough.

Review: Pretty Reckless

Pretty Reckless Pretty Reckless by Jane Anthony
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of Book Addict.live,
I don’t know where to start, Kat and Chase were a complicated couple. Even though I never doubted their love for each other. Kat is reaching a desperate time in her life. Waking up next to guys she can’t remember being with the night before. Going to work smelling of alcohol, things come to a head before long. Kat has not known Chase for long, but he tries to give her a helping hand, but no sex. Chase has been down his own rabbit hole and tries to help Kat climb out of hers.
When all the sexual tension breaks through, and outside pressure all serve to push a wedge between them. This is where things have been written different with Kat sorting her own life out and only then is she fit to have a relationship with the man she loves. It was pleasant change where she didn’t need a man to save her, she saved her self. Kat realised what a sexy hunk Chase was and she kept him herself, I still in mourning for my Book Hunky Boyfriend.
This is a read that pulls you along and you can’t not be invested in the storyline. This is about addiction, and is a very excellent read. Jane Anthony is fast becoming one of by Go To Authors.

Review: Come Back To Me

Come Back To Me Come Back To Me by Kathy Coopmans
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of Book Addict.live,
My god what a book. I couldn’t put it down. I had to read it straight through, and now I’m a mess I feel like I’m been pulled the wringer. The emotions fly of the page and grab you and take you on the trip with Adriana.
You have read the blurb, Adriana has had terrible losses to face in her life. Just when she feels so alone Blake comes back from the dead. Where do you go to next? This is a compelling read with so much angst and emotion as you follow their journey and can’t help but feel the deep love between them.
This is not a happy fun filled read, but a compelling one that shows there is light at the end of the tunnel. I nearly forgot a sexy one between Blake and Adriana. I am sorry that’s it I am not giving anymore away. So buy your own copy.

Redeeming the Texas Rancher Redeeming the Texas Rancher by Charlene Sands

This is a sweet romance between a couple that have been childhood friends most of their life. Dakota has loved Colby since she was ten. Cole has realised he has feelings for Day but something in his past holding him back, this is something Dakota has no idea about.
The relationship between Cole and Day was very close, and were a great team on the Ranch. All their friends can see they belong together. When Day’s next door neighbour Brett starts flirting with Day, Cole is not happy man.
This was a lovely slice of Texas ranch life where love and family are important. This story left a nice smile on my face. So if you love a slice of a Texas Rancher then this the book for you.

Review: Toying with Her

Toying with Her Toying with Her by Prescott Lane
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I reviewed this on behalf of Bookaddict.live,
I have to say I loved this book, and both Sterling and Rorke. Even though Sterling had great success financially after inventing women on top a vibrator designed for women by a woman. Sterling lives on her own in the city, but after the way she is treated decides to go home to a small Southern town to spend time with her parents.
Sterling bumps into the only man she has enjoyed great sex with, Rorke has turned into a hot hunk with a great personality and realises the only one for him is Sterling. It’s not all plain sailing as life gets in the way. Their relationship was wonderful to read and as hot as hell. Rorke always knows the best quotes, very romantic. I love the helping hand from his brother Levi with the ring. This an entertaining funny at times romance with a wonderful book boyfriend I want for myself. This author is definitely be on must read list. So I will let you decide for yourself.

Review: The Secret

The Secret The Secret by Christie Ridgway
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of Book Addict.live,
The secret is in some ways an unusual book. We have the Archer household in which we have Ethan a single father who had lost the love of his life 4 years ago. Michelle is kept alive with pictures everywhere. Including keeping her memory alive for her son.
Into to family a year before came Charlie a butler who has taken over running of the household, and looking after Wells when his father is at work. In that time Charlie has fallen for Ethan and Wells even though she tries to keep things professional. To men of the house she is part of the family.
This is an entertaining read set in the Billionaires Beach Books Series, but can all be read as standalone. We do meet some of her friends who graduated for a European Butler School but as this is my first read in this series and the only thing it makes me want go back and read the rest of the series. I enjoyed the relationships between the couple and the son. A great happy ending.

In the Beginning In the Beginning by B.C.E.
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf Book Addict.live,
WOW I don’t know what to say about this book, In the Beginning is about the beginning of the human race as we know it. If you love science fiction and all the old ancient stories of God, Greek, Egypt, epic fables of Zeus Olympians waging war on the Titans then this is the book for you.
I don’t want to spoil this for anyone, but I loved it and it kept me gripped until the end. I loved the way the story flowed and explained how so of many of the great floods, Atlantis Lost continents dragons. Was Moses the first Sc-fi novelist? This has gone the alien interference route. This kept me glued to my kindle reading through the night. I love all mythical stories as well as Science Fiction, so this book was a real treat. The only problem for me when I got to the end. I wanted to carry on reading, so when is the next book coming out?

Review: Clam Jam

Clam Jam Clam Jam by R.C. Boldt
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

After reading Blue Balls I just had to go back to the book before which was Clam Jam.
So I decided to go for the Audio Edition, and enjoyed the story of Maggie and Ry.
Maggie has broken up with her long time boyfriend after he cheated on her.
So when Ry who has noticed who has been watching Maggie in coffee shop,
and jumps when he hears Maggie needs a roommate.
When he meets her officially he realises the only way to become the roommate is to say he is gay and Jack from BlueBalls is his boyfriend.
What follows is comedy of errors as Ry has to stop Maggie from dating while he gets enough courage to come clean.
Jeremy York has a great voice for narrating , and enjoyed the fun of Maggie and Ryland falling in love over the year.

Review: Mr. Prescott: An Older Man Romance

Mr. Prescott: An Older Man Romance Mr. Prescott: An Older Man Romance by Carlos Dash
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was reviewed on behalf of Book Addict.live,
This is described as an Older Man Romance, it seems to be quite the thing at the moment. This is not what I thought it would be. I found a very sweet love story with lots of sex added in. This is first Carlos Dash book I’ve read and won’t be the last.
This book was exactly as described by Carlo Dash “If you enjoy happy endings and steamy tales about couples falling in love quickly my stories are for you".
This is a bit of unusual story when the youngest hottest Mayor of London visits New York who happens to go into a book shop and finds the love of his live. At first he can’t believe he should see her again because she is only 21 and he is 38.
What starts a fling soon feels much more, and a man of 38 would know when something feels different. Nathan thinks to wine and dine and that’s it. Love and lust quickly arrives and before we know its love. The only thing I found unconvincing is having an attractive Mayor of London, being a brit that was the hardest thing to believe. Lol
If you want a quick read with insta love and some good sex then this is for you.

Wow what an adventure, Dane is definitely a man of few words.
At the beginning we have an ice cold Hitman that arrives home to find the beautiful Irina taking refuge in his home.
Irina is on the run from a Russia Mobster husband.
This starts an adventure calling in some of his ex-Military colleagues to take on half the Russia Mobsters.
Nothing goes to plan as Dane and Irina learn to love each other.
The sex is hot between them, but they had go through so much before they reach HEA.
There is plenty of action in and out of the bedroom.
That’s all from me if you want to know more you will have to buy your own.

Review: Trashy Foreplay

Trashy Foreplay Trashy Foreplay by Gemma James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of Book Addict live,
This book was like nothing I was expecting. I suppose the title led me to believe it would be insta lust and nonstop sex. We had the instant connection, but not the sex. Instead we have a picture into Cash and Jules lives and minds. There is a lot more going on with Monica the cheating wife, we see a cold broken women who is as unhappy as Cash.
It takes nearly the whole book to get to the sex, but the build-up made it all the better. So it was a quick read with plenty of characters to build the tension. Cash and Jules were great together the chemistry was intense. Then when I got to the end and realised this is book one and we will have wait for Trashy Conquests. I am now in mourning waiting to see what happens next.

BLUE BALLS BLUE BALLS by R.C. Boldt

Reviewed for Book Addict.live,
BLUE BALLS
Truth:
A painful conditional caused by prolonged state of sexual arousal without release.
Myth: Only affects males.

Blue balls as you can guess is a romantic comedy,
And the male Jack the hunky nerd is the one that mostly suffers from blue balls. Jack is a great guy, who on meeting his best friend’s fiancĂ©e’s friend Sarah who has caused this poor guy’s suffering. Sarah and Jack take nearly 80 per cent of the book trying to complete the whole sexual act.
If you enjoy a funny but slower story getting to know each properly rather than an insta love. This is the book for you. I read a wide assortment of books and I was in the mood to enjoy reading about Jack and Sarah get their HEA, with titters on reading certain scenes. I must say I want a Jack without the blue balls. Although this is a standalone we meet Maggie and Ryland the couple from Clam Jam where we first meet Sarah and Jack as the best friends.

Help comes from the most unlikely source, in shape of Shelly the best mechanic Beau has ever worked with. The more he learns about her the more fascinated he is.

As the weeks past Shelly becomes more important to him. When he realises what she has do deal with on a daily basis his admiration grows.

Review: Twisted Twosome

Twisted Twosome Twisted Twosome by Meghan Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow I really loved this book, one minute tittering, laughing out loud while getting funny looks from my husband. Then to crown it all I end up crying out loud. I have to ask Meghan “what have you done to me you evil woman?”

The hero of the book is one of Tuckers workmates Racer. Racer has a lot of debt left over from his father’s medical loans, so he takes on extra work to help make his payments.
This is how he meets Georgiana Westbrook the rich girl who watches him while he fixes the family pool house. The first time they meet sparks fly with sarcasm and snark turning into to instant dislike. I loved how they played each other it was good fun hence my tittering and laughing in public.

It was a pleasure to read how the relationship between them grew while he refits the shop she has leased.

I think this is one of my favourite Meghan Quinn’s RomCom. I loved all the characters some from past books and some new. It made it a pleasure to read.

Review: The Edge of Us

The Edge of Us The Edge of Us by Veronica Larsen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow this book pulled me through the ringer. We meet Mila, a strong independent woman who followed her well defined goals and dreams. These were qualities that made me immediately connect to her. We meet Andrew who works for Mila, and been a great support and become Mila’s best friend. Things seem to be changing between them, but alas I felt no real chemistry. love but not in love
If you really knew Mila, you would know she's not the kind of woman you claim. She's the kind of woman who claims you."

Then Cole enters the story, all we know is he left Mila at the Alter, and she hasn’t had a decent relationship since. It allowed Mila to direct all her passion and energy into her career. "It seems we can't ever get it right, chance and circumstance intent on keeping us apart. Intent on proving what we might feel for each other pales in comparison to situations that hamper our growth. As though all we're ever meant to do is miss each other. A cycle we can't break. A story without an end."

I was held enthralled by this novel, and it pulled me into the action and I couldn’t break free and found myself thinking about the characters and how they held me even when I finished reading. We find out there is a lot more going with Cole than we realise. I not saying anymore because you will have to read The Edge of Us to find out anymore.
