Review: Tea for Two

Tea for Two Tea for Two by Kailee Reese Samuels
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Before Reading this book I would advise reading Book 1 The Initiation 3 and half stars
This is an instalment from the life of Salvatore Raniero the sexy alpha male from Juliet.
This story is set in 2009 when Sal was 19yrs old. This is quite a complicated story with plots and sub plots. Sal falls in love, and this such a different Sal from the previous books.
The falling in love was beautiful, and Berti was a lovely tragic soul. First he meets Kaci, and she introduces him to Berti. Sal is mesmerised and plans to leave his life in Sugargrove and Juliet behind. As we know nothing ever goes to plan.
I enjoyed getting to know more about Lucas Salvatore Raniero. The problem being I felt Sal was being used like a pawn, but it seems we must wait for new book to see where all the hints go. The book is not for fainthearted the subject matter is not just BDSM. I enjoyed the writing and I fell in love with Sal so I am now hooked.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

EXCERPT:
Satisfied with my results, I settled on the bed, all snug and dry in my robe. Pressing a stack of clean washcloths to my mouth to muffle the laughter, I heard the water turn off. After a few seconds’ hesitation, he called from inside the bathroom.
“Hey. Where are all the towels?”
I didn’t answer, just laughed some more and smothered my giggles.
The slap of his wet feet on the bare floor sounded as he crossed the bathroom toward the door. He poked his dripping head out of the doorway. “What did you do?” His dark eyebrow arched, hair soaked and plastered to his forehead. A puddle quickly formed around his feet.
I held up one of the tiny washcloths. “You want this, don’t you? The hate is swelling in you now.”
His mouth quirked. “Something’s swelling, but it isn’t hate.” He pushed the hair away from his forehead and cleared the water that had dripped into his eyes. “Somehow I thought getting away with that was too easy.”
I smirked. “You should know me better by now. As for drying off…you could always use your dirty underpants.”
“Underpants? What am I, five?” He clenched his jaw and then grinned. “Don’t underestimate the power of the dark side, young Jedi.”
I rolled my eyes. “So you’re going to try to one-up me? So predictable. I’m shaking in my boots.”
His dark eyes gleamed as he came closer. Rivulets of water had collected on his tasty abs. It was fascinating to behold.
“And you should know me better, too.” He grinned evilly. “I don’t one-up. I one-hundred-up.” Then he shook his head inches from my face. Droplets of water sprayed everywhere. I let out a screech and pulled back. “You are looking too dry over there, little girl. Let me help you with that.”
And he promptly pinned me, dripping wet, to the bed and started rubbing his drenched face in mine. “You’re gonna soak the bed!” I screeched.
“Collateral damage,” he replied. He reached down and pulled the belt on my robe, opening it. Then he shifted, sandwiching me between his wet body and the bed.
I squirmed and wiggled, and he only seemed to like it more. He shook his head again. My hand smacked his hard chest. “You’re such a boy.”
He grinned. “I’m all boy,” he said, pressing his erection against me.
“I won’t take this lying down,” I muttered.
“You don’t have to take it lying down.” He laughed. “There’s always up against the door or the shower wall. Or you can take it bent over the back of the couch or a dozen other different ways. Whatever way you take it…you are taking it.”

Review: From A Distance

From A Distance From A Distance by L.M. Carr
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was reviewed for Book Addict Live.
From a Distance in the title refer to Tylor Strong loving his best friend’s wife.

Karrie has been married to Alex for 5 years, but all he wants to do is race Motorbikes with Tyler at weekends. Karrie is pissed at her husband for going racing on their wedding anniversary. So Karrie ends up working the night shift at the local Hospital as ER nurse. So she is on duty when car crash victims come.

Tyler and Alex are brought in, but Karrie is unaware and she get to work on one of the victims helping to keep him alive. Then Karrie when is called to another room and told her husband is dead she just goes to pieces.

Tyler is in a coma, and Karrie needs answers so goes in and sits in his room after work. Poor Tyler is in a coma for weeks but when he wakes up Karrie and Tyler have to work through plenty of misunderstandings. The biggest for Karrie is Tyler has feelings for her. This a heartfelt tale with plenty of drama, love and learning to live again is beautifully done.

I not saying another word there is so much packed into this tale of real life problems dealt with courage and love with for each other. I recommend this book to read if you like plenty to get your teeth into. So buy it yourself and get your teeth stuck in. Oh I did I say Tyler is Hot, Sexy and a knight on a shiny motorbike.

Review: Don't Speak

Don't Speak Don't Speak by Katy Regnery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Don’t Speak ripped my heart out, and laughingly gave me it back at the end of the book.
As with this series of books, they are all standalones based on Fairytales in modern day settings. Don’t Speak is based on Little Mermaid. It was masterly done with Laire a young 18yr old from the Outer Banks Island. The Island has been settled in the 17th century by English, Irish, Welsh and the Scots. The Island isolated for a long time and they speak a cross of old Elizabethan and some bits of Southern Carolinas. No mobiles, no computers.
Most of the Islanders get married very young, and have a family, but Laire wants to go to fashion school, and design clothes. Then we have Erick the Governors son, who is used to having anything he wanted. When he saw Laire for the first time he watched her delivering crabs to his lavish birthday party. Erick is from a completely different background getting what he wants, not what he needs. As soon as he sees Laire he’s besotted and chases relentlessly. As Laire has a fall time summer job on away from home all day and evening.
They fall blissfully in love over the summer, but the real world intrudes and they part. Both are devastated, unfortunately they don’t meet for 7 years, the feelings come with a vengeance. This is another wonderful read from Katy Regnery I laughed, I cried this story me an emotional wreck. I loved it. There is a lot more to the story you must read it and find out for yourself.
