Review: One S'more Summer

One S'more Summer One S'more Summer by Beth Merlin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

One S’more Summer is story Georgica Gigi Goldstein who has been in love with Joshua her best friend’s fiancee since they all met at summer camp years before. When Alicia went to England for a year and broke off her relationship Joshua. Gigi and Joshua started a secret relationship, which promptly finished when Alicia came back. The wedding is getting closer and Gigi being heartbroken, and after losing her creative spark she is fired from her job. Feeling a need to escape Gigi decides to take a job as Camp Councillor at Camp Chinooka where it all started all those years before.
When Gigi arrives at camp all the memories flood her, but determined to put it behind her throws herself into her role as head councillor for Cedar girls. The head councillor for the boys is Perry an English musician who comes to America every summer while he is finishing his thesis. At first they clash, but then the sparks fly and the summer looks much brighter for both of them. This is a sweet story of Gigi and Perry coming to terms with their past and forgiving themselves so they can move forward. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
