Review: The Choices I've Made

The Choices I've Made The Choices I've Made by J.L. Berg
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf Book Addict live,
The Choices I’ve Made is a second chance or third chance Romance which I always enjoy because the couples are usually older but not necessarily wiser.
This is the story of Jake and Molly, childhood sweethearts who always loved each other. When Jake’s mother died, he left at 18 for college and has not been back in 12 years. Now he has come back for his father’s funeral and to sort out the small practice his father left him. It was evident that nothing had changed in regards to love between them. Except that Molly was engaged to his best friend while growing up.
This is the first book by J.L.Berg I read and it won’t be the last. It may be a romance novel, and this couple found their love each other was not always enough. This book didn’t go the same route most go so it was nice change.
I love Jake and Molly together, but I must say I was disappointed in Molly’s fear of leaving the Island. I was amazed at the change in Jake and Molly after they both admitted that love is not enough. This is a standalone with HEA even if the story went a different route.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review
