Review: Lost in Between

Lost in Between Lost in Between by K.L. Kreig
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

WOW my god what a book, I am still trying to cool down my kindle is on fire. I don’t think I can survive until May for book 2.
We have Willow who narrates Audiobooks for a living, but because her Mother has Alzheimer’s and her care is very expensive Willow works as Escort under the name of summers.
When Shaw needs a fake girlfriend for a couple of months his friend Noah recommends Summer not knowing they had already met when he drove into the back of her car.
The air sizzles with the sexual tension in the air when they meet. Shaw doesn’t understands his feelings, and Willow keeps all her feelings bottled letting very little in. Over time they gradually fall for each other.
I loved this book except when I reached the end and realised I have to wait until May for the outcome, that’s if I survive.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Review: The Cad and the Co-Ed

The Cad and the Co-Ed The Cad and the Co-Ed by L.H. Cosway
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

cI was really looking forward to reading this book, and I wasn’t disappointed, Eilish is a young impressible 19yr old Co-ed who meets her teenage crush at a wedding reception. The Cad in this story is Bryan who was an alcohol dependant Rugby Player who was so drunk he can’t remember sleeping her.
They don’t meet again for 5 years, and although Bryan really smitten when he meets Eilish at a party after she has come back to Dublin after finishing her education in America.
This was a refreshing change from the normal “I’ve had your baby and my son is 10” instantly they in bed and in love.
This was a romantic comedy with some heartfelt emotions thrown in. Bryan is now a sober mature individual who drinks mint tea. So with a catalogue awful parents and well-meaning friends we have plenty entertainment to enjoy. So if you enjoy a good story with HEA then this the book for you. I haven’t read any of the others in the series, and they can be read as standalones, but after this one I will be reading them now.

Review: Four

Four Four by Archer Kay Leah
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book two in The Republic Series, but can be read as a standalone.
This story is obviously set in the same world as book one, but a completely different couple complete with HEA.
This book centers on Mayr the Head of the Guard for a prominent family.
Mayr is lovely man, handsome, loyal, but has been very badly treated by his previous Partners.
He comes from a close nit family, all he ever wanted was someone to love and complete him.
The truth is that nothing worth having is ever easy, and all the best things in life are the result of pain. In the end, that's what makes the good things go very great,
and that's what makes it all worth the struggle.

I think that describes this beautiful love story. At its heart is about finding that one person that completes you.
Mayr meets Tash through one of his exes who he meets for a threesome.
Tash is a priest, who is getting ready to become an Uldana Priest which unfortunately will mean he will be unable to have close sexual relationship with anyone.
Even though they decide to keep everything casual, which would be okay if only both men didn’t feel this strong connection neither one expected.
I not saying anymore except it pulled on my heartstrings.
I have read this authors work before and he knows how to pull you into the different worlds he creates and spits me out after I have been put through emotional ringer.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a beautiful but heartbreaking love story set in a fantasy setting.

About the Author

A Virginia girl since birth, J.L. Baldwin loves her small town atmosphere, but like many others, dreams of the big city...more specifically, New York City. Reading and writing was always an outlet when it came to avoiding being a social butterfly. She made the transition from reader to blogger to author in a matter of months. It took a lot of courage from an introvert like her to hit publish on her first book, Unbound Faith in December of 2015 and she is now working on more books to continue on in her debut saga and beyond.

Your twenties are supposed to be some of the best, and certainly the most fun of your life, but for Emma Taylor, turning twenty-five brought her world crashing down around her. Four years after being diagnosed with a debilitating disease, her love life is non-existent. A series of failed blind dates–courtesy of her friends–has left her feeling depressed and defeated. The inbox of hot Navy pilot, Bryan Sampson–her friend Mel’s best friend, and Emma's secret crush.
Bryan Sampson has only met Emma Taylor one time during a night of karaoke while on leave, but in one night, she managed to make an impression. She seemed timid and uncomfortable in her own skin, but underneath it all, he could see how strong she had to be in order to cope with her disease. So when her message catches his eye, he opens it without a second thought and realizes almost immediately it isn’t intended for him. Now that he’s read it, though, he can’t turn his back on her and feels duty bound to help the cause. Besides, what else is he supposed to do with his free time? He vows he will help her find love never suspecting that the more he talks to her, the more he finds out about himself…the more she occupies his thoughts.
Emma is determined to face her demons thanks to Bryan's encouragement, but little by little she begins falling harder for the one person who isn't ashamed of her or her disease. Can she put her heart on the line and take the risk? Can she convince Bryan that love, her love, is worth it?
Sometimes all it takes is one person to expose the beauty within.

# BOOK BLITZ + GIVEAWAY# Faking it with DAMIAN - D.J. HUNNAM

Faking It with Damian
DJ Hunnam
Publication date: January 23rd 2017
Genres: Contemporary, Erotica, Romance
I don’t do relationships…especially not with egotistical jerks like my new boss, Damian Wood. The man is vile, arrogant, condescending… and scorching hot. If he weren’t my boss and a grade-A a*hole, I would turn on my world-famous charm and seduce the pants right off the man. But giving in to his undeniable allure might just cost me my job. Or worse yet, my heart.
I’m a prick…and Janice Holder’s new boss. Which means I should stay away, but I’ve never claimed to be a nice guy. If I don’t get my twisted fascination under control, it will only be a matter of time before I bend her over my desk and screw her. Hard. The way I’ve imagined no fewer than a thousand times since we met. I’m playing with fire and neither of us can afford to get burned, but landing in hot water might just be worth the risk.
Faking It is a full-length, standalone office romance. It contains steamy scenes with a ton of heat and strong language intended for mature audiences.
EXCERPT:
I slipped into the hallway and headed straight for Damian’s office. His door was shut, but I barged in, slamming the door behind me. With his Bluetooth headset in, he glanced up and smiled until he saw my glower.
“What did you do?” I hissed.
“Hey, I’m going to have to call you back,” Damian said to the person on the other end.
I paced back and forth as he said his goodbyes. The musky scent of his cologne permeated my senses and my body hummed in spite of my anger. He’d cut his hair since the last time I’d seen him and faint tan lines highlighted his cheekbones, I assumed from skiing. The man was sexy as hell and being enclosed with him was bringing back all of the things we’d done the last time we were in a room together.a”Hello, sweetheart. Long time no see,” he said as he leaned back in his chair and regarded me with a wry grin. His eyes trailed down my body.
“Don’t ‘sweetheart’ me.” ”Is that any way to greet your man after four long days apart?” ”What the hell is going on? Cindy just blindsided me in the bathroom.”
“Word sure does travel fast around here. I apologize you had to hear the happy news from someone else, but maybe if you hadn’t hidden in your office all day or if you’d bothered to answer any of my calls, I would have been able to fill you in.”
My face flushed hot, but I refused to let him goad me. “Fill me in now.”
“Why don’t you sit down?”
“I don’t want to sit down,” I yelled.
“Settle down. A lovers’ quarrel would be suspicious so soon after our big announcement.” He gathered his bottom lip between his teeth to hold back the grin threatening to erupt.
I stopped in front of his desk and placed both hands on the top. “I swear, if you don’t stop fucking around, I’m going to scream so loud that everyone in this building will know the truth.”
“Has anyone ever told you how beautiful you are when you’re angry?”
Shaking my head with disgust, I spun around and headed straight to the door, but he was on his feet and in front of me faster than I could blink. A man his size should not have been able to move that fast. I crossed my arms over my chest and glared.
“Get out of my way.” ”No. I’m not letting you run and hide again.”
I stomped over to his cabinet where I knew he hid the booze. I needed a drink in order to get through this conversation. I leaned over and rifled around until I felt his body sidle up behind me. His tight groan made me glance over my shoulder and I watched as his eyes trailed up my legs and landed on my ass.
“Could you be any more inappropriate?” I questioned as I poured the amber liquid into a glass.
“I’d hardly call ogling inappropriate. Now, fucking you on my desk… that would be inappropriate.”
Pinpricks of warmth erupted between my legs. With a few dirty words, the man could put all of my good intentions to waste.
“Comments like that are what got us into this mess in the first place,” I said as I breezed past him, pretending that his words had no effect. Settling into a chair, I took a large gulp and relished the burn as the liquid trailed down my throat and into my churning stomach.
He chuckled and poured himself a drink, watching me from over his shoulder. After sauntering back, he leaned against his desk, stretching his long legs out in front of him. His proximity was disarming and I considered bolting again, but took another sip of liquid courage instead.
“And what a mess it is,” he murmured.
