Review: It's You

I have just finished Book One in the paranormal world of Kate Regnery writing as K.P. Kelley, and I’m champing at the bite for number two, I don’t think I can wait.

I was pulled straight into the story, which for the first half the book is from Darcy’s point of view. We start with Darcy who we find out she can’t forget the boy that kissed her after the school play twenty years before.
When looking out the window at church she sees Jack, and can’t believe her eyes. All the feelings and desires she has been denying come roaring back. When they meet Darcy realises he feels the same way.
Darcy is a botanist and a scientist, which leads her to doubt anything that doesn’t make sense. So although inside she has this feelings, she tells Jack she wants to take it slow.
This is a romance so they don’t take it slow, and before know it they so in love and in bed HOT very hot but only Jack admits his love out loud.
After what Darcy feels is insurmountable differences. A heartbroken Jack goes to visit his family.
The second half of the book is from Jack’s point of view, which is sad in places, but gripping none the less.
We see the same school scene through Jack’s eyes.
Such a gripping romance with a difference, and I cannot recommend this book enough. At least Book two is not that far away. I think I might survive. I have no doubt that this book will appeal to all lovers of romance and paranormal, as first and foremost this is a fantastic love story, with some great extras. I loved it! Anyone who reads my reviews know I rarely give five stars, but I couldn’t give it less.

Review: Bette & the Beast

Bette & the Beast by Liza Penn

This a short novella introducing us to Hotel Ever After, Bette owns a beautiful, but rundown Book shop called HAPPILY EVER AFTER.
The Beast of the title is Richard, the Hotel Developer wanting to buy the shop so he can build his Hotel.
Bette's father sets up a dinner meeting, without Bette not realising who he really is. They fall very quickly in lust, which turns into love.
This is a very short novella, and everything happens very quickly, which is the nature of the beast.
That being said, they great to read between getting into something much longer, but want a quick fix in- between others.
The beef for me is I like a bit more meat on the bones, but this wouldn't be a novella if that was the case.
I enjoyed the characters, and what a great place to pick to play out other adult Fairytales.
This series of stories are going to be publish a new one once a month

Review: Something There In Between

Something There In Between by S. Ferguson

Somewhere there in Between is not an easy book to talk about as it deals with rape and child abuse. Something Bree the heroine of the story suffered from. As well as Declan and Jake, that’s how Declan recognises the symptoms and behaviour in Bree when he spots her sitting in the park every night.
I think the author has dealt with the subject really well, and showed how the affects that stay with you for a long time after.
I enjoyed the book, because Bree found hope with help from others and firstly herself. It was her journey to be able to love herself to be able to have some kind of relationship with Declan.
Overall I enjoyed watching her relationship grow, and not be rushed. I loved Declan, I wouldn’t mind him for myself, but he only has eyes for Bree.
Also a good cast of characters, hopefully further books where others get HEA. I felt invested in the characters, and the book stayed with me long after reading the book.
This is a very intense journey I followed with Bree. The book is told from alternate views Bree and Declan. I think that helped me, be were carried along with the emotion. I would recommend this book as long as you realise the subjects are dealt realistically. I enjoyed the book all the more for it.

I love this book, the Well hung in the title is Wyatt, Nicks twin brother from Mr O.
We have Wyatt is a cabinet maker, carpenter and owns a building company. Enter Natalie the super efficient
secretary and personal assistant. What follows is a wonderful funny comedy of errors.

I don’t know how to start this review, that’s because there is so much about the book I loved.
We have the prologue, and straight into Liam’s nightmare of waves and drowning. I think you have read the synopsis, and I not going to about that, as it covers the basic outline of the book.
 This book is magic, and at times funny tragic, when both Liam and Éiolie try to use a laundry and going to buy food, and realise neither one can cook. It’s the intense connection with each other, even as children they connected as she saved his life when he was kidnapped and beaten within an inch of his life when he was seven.
The stories that kept the fear away became real for him and his friends. Later turning Liam into a bestselling author.
What I can tell you, this is a remarkable book, and I read straight through. Liam and Éiolie   search to find their normal, and start building their Happy ever after, which they realise is an ongoing quest to enjoy the life they created, we a lot of help from his friends. I now learn book 2 is available now, and centre’s around Zac, and is called Apprehension. There is a brief visit to Apprehension at the end of the book. So when I say this for me was a 5* read, I rarely give a 5.This book deserved it. This is first story I’ve read of this author, and it won’t be the last. I now have book 2 to look forward reading.

Exchange of Power by Andrea Bills

When a man loves a woman she becomes his weakness. When a truly loves a man he becomes her strength. This is called Exchange of Power.
I truly loved the dedication at the start of the book, as you will find out when you read this book. This is the first book in a series, so there was quite a lot of world building. Even though you have a couple at the centre of the story. That wasn’t the whole picture, we have spies, conspiracy and attempted murder.
Hannah and Nick who have been together 10 years, four years married. When her husband is killed, Hannah is weighed down with grief for nearly a year. When her sister finally starts to pull her out. Then one night her dog is attacked.
In comes Austin a family friend with hunky Bodyguard Jared. Hannah also finds out something that almost sends her spirally back down.
We have a government very secret agency up to no good and Austin tries to find out what’s going on.
This book had adventure, twists you won’t see coming. Romance for Jared and Hannah. This plenty more going on, but that’s for you to find out by reading this yourself. I am now waiting for book two, as with a series not everything resolves itself. The main couple Jared and Hannah seem happy
together at the end. I sure there will plenty more adventure in book two.
If you enjoy a good romance, with lots of suspense. Hunky special agents, then I recommend this book for you.
