Review: A Handful of Fire

A Handful of Fire A Handful of Fire by Alexis Alvarez
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I reviewed this book for Book Addict.Live
A Handful of Fire is Wonderful story with a emotional subject matter. It is about a Shai who specialises in therapy to help children dealing with serious illness. Through treating Michael a super intelligent but an unhappy boy trying to cope with a life threatening illness, and the treatment side effects. Through treating Michael she meets and falls for his father Gabriel.
Gabriel is a widower and he isn’t coping well with his son's illness. Full of anguish he loses himself in work and vain women.
This is a romance that take time to build, and even then not everything perfect. I love this book has substance and it’s not insta love or sex. The sex is hot, but Gabriel can still be a jerk, even if he is a hot jerk. We get HEA it takes work to get there, and is all the better for it. I enjoyed it and read it in one seating, it’s not long but has plenty to get your teeth into.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
