Review: Miss Not Together: A Novel

Miss Not Together: A Novel Miss Not Together: A Novel by Belle Brooks
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
This is a coming of age story about Hilary in her last term at high school, and a straight A student. Hilary and her best friend Freddie have their lives mapped out. Hilary is going to Prime Minister and Freddie her second in command.
This is a about teenage hormones hitting Hilary and finding out that there is something apart from schoolwork and planning her life.
It all started the day some new neighbors move in next door. A man with twin sons Grayson and Tray. From the first moment she saw Gray, Hilary couldn’t understand her feelings.
This is the story of a late bloomer finally breaking out of her uptight persona. Gray and Hilary gradually start seeing each other in secret hence miss not together instead of miss get it together.
This is an entertaining peek into Hilary’s first relationship and the usual high school angst not much in fact I thought everyone was very well behaved. I think it hits us all when the hormones and feelings get in the way of world domination. It was wilder in my day. This an entertaining peek into Hilary and Grayson both being hit with that thing called love.

Review: Sail

Sail Sail by Lindsey R. Loucks
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,
This is the first book in one of the most imaginative series I’ve read for a while, featuring Absidy a twenty year old student waiting for her family to meet for christmas break. When she finds out that her older sister has gone missing she is determined to find even if she is in black space.
Dressed as a teenage boy called Lewis she ends up as a trainee chief on a small ship with a small crew. Nothing goes right as the ship is haunted and its Absidy sees ghosts. So the adventure starts and takes directions you in directions you can’t imagine. This is a step in the future that is haunting and frightening at times. When Absidy went on board she never imagined she would have deal with Monsters around every corner. The only good thing as far Absidy knows is that Mase knows her secret, and soon they start getting hot and heavy. I'm not giving anything else away, I don't want to spoil it for anyone. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this audiobook, it kept glued to my headphones.
I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Lindsey R. Loucks. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.

Review: Honey and Happiness

Honey and Happiness Honey and Happiness by Josie Kerr
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
What sweet and quirky love story from Josie Kerr’s Hemlock Creek series. First thing is I haven’t read any of Josie’s books before, I feel in love with the book cover and description. We have an uptight middle aged man stuck in his ways being told to take vacation time. His office partner books him a holiday at a quant place in Hemlock Creek.
Everything that can wrong does go wrong. The place makes him realise how uptight and stuck in a rut he is.
It was so delightful to watch Bruce unwind the longer he is around Saffy who runs the B+ B and makes all her natural soaps and creams. I loved her pets if they didn’t put Bruce off , but it was so funny visualizing him fighting the goat for his trousers. An uplifting tale told from both pov’s that adds to the confusion for two people who find love when they least expect to find it.

Review: Car Crash

Car Crash Car Crash by T. Gephart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,
Wow this book was hilarious, we have Dallas, who is Josh’s friend and colleague from Train Wreck. Dallas works at the tattoo parlor with Josh, while Josh is now happy with Eve. Dallas has lost his wingman. Dallas is a larger than life hottie and is only ever up for a one night stand.
Then we have Kitty attractive and sexy and always pick the wrong men.
So Kitty and Dallas decide they would help each to keep away from the crazies. So for the first time they become friends, and get to know each other. The only problem is the chemistry is off the charts, so we know what’s going to happen, but it’s the getting there that is the fun.
I loved this book with it’s larger than life characters, with the story told in alternate pov’s it’s an easy and enjoyable experience. Now I’ve got to go and read Train Wreck and see how Josh founds his happy ending.

Review: Silver Hollow: 2018 Edition

Silver Hollow: 2018 Edition Silver Hollow: 2018 Edition by Jennifer Silverwood

Wow what a saga I feel like have been caught in in a waking adventure. It starts with an ordinary young girl who looses her parents in a car crash at 16, but fortunately her best friend’s parents take her in. Northing happens until we meet the adult Jessamiene Nimue age 26 and an author of fantasy and magical kingdoms.
Then the adventure begins and what a wonderful one it was. We have a mixture myths and legends woven together to create a magical kingdom. This is not a pretty story we have war and betrayal everywhere but a gripping tale of a world we dream about and Aimie finally finds out who she is. I loved her grandfather I thought that was a clever touch. IF you enjoy a fantasy that brings to life all the people and world you will love to meet in this gripping tale. This is book one so there is lots world building, but there still plenty to keep you hooked . I have one more thing to say and that is “ where is book two?”

Review: Copper

Copper Copper by Lilly Atlas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,

Well this is the book I have been waiting for.
In the first three books in the series we all picked up the attraction between Shell and Copper, and it was everything I wanted and more.
This can be read as a standalone, but for more enjoyment it great to read the books in order.
The story is alternating points of view’s between Copper and Shelle.
Well this book has it all love, hot sex, hunky prez,
And some disturbing action, but I loved it .
I was pulled in at the beginning and couldn’t put it down.
This was a late nightery or an early morner read, as I really needed to finish. I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait for the Audio book. Lilly Atlas’s audiobooks are usually duet narration and this series has been great so far.
