This is a wonderful love story. It's the story of how Theda left her world, after her father is forcing her into a marriage with a man she detests. When she flees into the Human realm she meets Elena's father Alex while hiding in his tool shed. It doesn't take long before they fall in love.
This is a good book to read before Fates Divided. As it give you an insight into Elena's background.
