Review: From the Top

From the Top From the Top by Dani Collins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
When we first meet Ilke she has just arrived at The Whisky Jack resort lodge to meet with Nate to let him know she pregnant. Nate you can’t help to warm up to him, he is struggling after his divorce, but he is working on the resort so he is close to his son Aiden.
I think I would have appreciated the snow in the resort if I wasn’t snowed in and shivering with a bug while reading it. I read this straight through and enjoyed it thoroughly because it wasn’t just about the main couple it was community at Whisky Jacks becoming more like a family. I did warm up to Ilke the more I understood her background and how she coped to survive.
This is not a dark romance, even though it not all sweetness and light. Never the less, it’s an uplifting and positive romance some of the story centers around the main couple Ilke and Nate. While in the background there plenty more to keep  you enjoying the story and keep your interest for next book in the series.
I have never read Dani Collins before, but I will definitely read the next in the series and go back to number one. Even though this is a series each book is a complete story for the main couple and can be read as a standalone. The reason hopefully want to read the others because there is an interesting cast of characters that have plenty to say. This is kind of read that makes you want curl up in an armchair in front of roaring fire and enjoy.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
