Review: The Good Samaritan

The Good Samaritan The Good Samaritan by R.C. Boldt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.blog,
The Good Samaritan is a powerfully written romance, there is so many great characters in this book, it a treat for the senses. It also highlights real problems so many people suffer from.
Jude is great guy, struggling after tragedy he feels guilty about, and tries to atone by living on the streets and helping others in need. Nothing seems to help until he meets Faith and Father James who runs the homeless shelter.
The only person to pierce his darkness is Faith a reporter who volunteers at the shelter.
Faith just sees a man in pain, not a bum who lives on the street. They become friends, Faith the only woman to interest him in five years. One night after work Faith is attacked and nearly raped fortunately Jude stops the rapist and gets Faith to the hospital in time. It makes them both realise what they feel for each other.
Alas the road to true love is paved with obstacles. This is a heartwarming and at times heartbreaking read. This book actually blew me away, and I admit tears were shed when I got to the end.
