Review: Snitches Get Stitches

Snitches Get Stitches Snitches Get Stitches by Lani Lynn Vale
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Well she has done it again; every book blows me away. LLV has excelled in this one, one warning before you start reading get the tissues out, as once tears start it is inconvenient to stop reading as search for tissues.
This is about Liner who is a brother in the MC. One day at Tara's house while keeping Rome company so he could have quality time with Matias who was very ill. Liner thought Tara had a personality transplant and so he really looked at Tara and thought she was a different person especially allowing Rome some quality time with his son and not being difficult.
Then later day when he sees her crying through the bedroom window from his patio next door. Liner is struck so much by it, and he realises they must be twins.
Theodora has been a victim her whole life because of her family. When they meet for the first time both are struck with something that makes them immediately comfortable with each other and Liner manages to get Theo to confide in him.
This is in part heartbreaking the way Theo has treated by her family. Then after meeting Liner Theo begins to hope, she has a future she can look forward too.
This is Lani Lynn Vale at her best pulling you into the story and controlling your emotions as you experience what Theo and Liner begin to feel.
This for me is a six-star read I loved it and I want in Audio so I can enjoy it again. This is a keeper and on my reread shelf.

Review: Ethan and Ava

Ethan and Ava Ethan and Ava by Lynda Chance
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It was my pleasure that had time to read a book from an author I’ve been faithful to since I read her first book in 2011.
Lynda has been writing the alpha processive males that make your kindle steam up. So, when I saw a new book after a large time gap, I had to have it.
Finally, I fitted it in between reading ARCs and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
We met Ava and Ethan in Hannah and Josh’s book and I also wondered what had happened to them. This book picks up right from when Ethan starts looking and best friends’ sister in a sexual way and I finally find out what happened.
Even though we meet Ethan at a young age he shows all the traits Lynda males ate famous for.
It was a pleasure to visit Redwood Falls again and meet up with some of my favourite book friends.

Review: Hollywood Prince

Hollywood Prince Hollywood Prince by Natasha Madison
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.live,

I have really enjoyed this series, we have a bad boy actor having sex with 2 or 3 different women at a day. Usually it’s the Paparazzi blowing things at of proportion , in this case everything said about Carter is true. So when he called to Hillcrest Productions and meets Erin he give her his usual sexy smirk it doesn’t work.

Carter doesn’t know what hits him when he is told no sex escapades for 30 days and Erin is looking after his media profile while he is filming. Erin is unaware of her effect on Carter, and just thinks his desperate because he can't go out and get someone else.

So another great couple in the Hollywood Royalty Series. I couldn’t help but love Carter when he fell love it was with his whole heart. It was a pleasure to read and watch them fall in love. Every time I read a book from the series I always think this is my favorite couple. So this is my favorite couple I loved their story, and we also catch glimpse of Jessica and Tyler Beckett from Hollywood Playboy.

If you love romance with plenty of heart and heat this is for you. Also you get two epilogues!

I love a good Sci-fi and this is good sci-fi with Dystopian world where SpaceTech one of the biggest corporation has taken control of all Earth’s governments. Maité is half Aunare has been living on Earth with her mother for ten years.
As times moves on it getting harder to hide her abilities. The author has created a world with interesting characters and with plenty of action to keep me glued to the page. Roan is her best friend and has helped her all the years on Earth.
I not going to carry on telling you the plot, except to say it kept me reading non stop even in the night as I needed to find out what happens. This is a great world builder as we get to know all players involved. If this is book one then I only have one thing to say is where is book two.
I the moment am listening to the Audiobook which is a long one, it bringing to life the characters for me as I work Great read

Review: Hook Shot

Hook Shot Hook Shot by Kennedy Ryan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
I don’t know why I am always so shocked when a read a Kennedy Ryan novel. How I totally immersed in the story and dialogue, and how emotionally involved in the story I always get. This time it was Iris’s cousin Lotus and August teammate Kenan who is almost at the end of the his career.
This is no quick romance, the a deep emotional connection they both feel when they meet frightens Lotus at first because she protects herself by practices sex without emotions getting in the way.
So this more of slow burn becoming friends and getting to know each other and liking each other.
So much they can’t keep away from each other, but in Kenan’s case he has a daughter that Needs him.
This is a wonderful read, a romance with depth and is also about love, including loving yourself and family. What a wonderful man Kenan is, but Lotus is a pretty special woman.

Sweet Fate Sweet Fate by Laurelin Paige
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf http://bookaddict.live,
I really have loved this duo, but most of book two takes place in England as Audrey starts work at the National Gallery. Audrey is still cannot get Dylan out of mind.
So before long Audrey and Dylan play at being friends, unfortunately the sexual tension between is so hot it doesn’t take long before its friends with benefits.
I loved Audrey she was so confident, and knew she wanted and loved Dylan.
Unfortunately Dylan keeps putting walls between them.
I am so excited that the Audiobook is released before the book, so I couldn’t resist buying it. I have to say the pleasure of listening to Shane East as Dylan is the icing on the cake.

Umbra: Dimension Drift Prequel 2 Umbra: Dimension Drift Prequel 2 by Christina Bauer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,
Oh god I can’t wait for Alien Minds after reading about Thorne and his fight to do the right thing for the Universe and to help others. Once he meets Meimi everything changes, and looking after her and finding out everything about her is paramount.
This is the second Prequel and is from Thorne’s point of view, so to get a balance view before we all enjoy Alien Minds coming next month its best to read Scythe which is from Meimi’s point of view and is on KindleUnlimited at the moment.
Now I have another series of Christina Bauer to follow, sometimes I would like just a peak inside her imagination and see how she does it time after time. Except I think it might give me a fright.
Another winner to enjoy.

Review: Moon Promise

Moon Promise Moon Promise by Carmen Fox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on Behalf of http://bookaddict.live,
Moon Promise is about a daughter of a werewolf king, unfortunately she is unable to shift. So Kensington now lives in Chicago and is a renowned P.I. When her father calls and asked her to go and help The Wild Pack find a young woman who has disappeared.
Kensington arrives and to keep her secret, she has to withstand the Alpha power when the men keep trying to influence her to their way of thinking.
This is an interesting tale as we see how Kenzie uses her skill to find Raven, while dealing with werewolf politics. Kenzie finds herself attracted to Drake one of the pack protectors.
This book has it all, mystery, murder, love and jealousy which caused all the trouble in the first place. I loved Drake and Kenzie together, it was the first time she could be herself. This is a great start to a new series which has all the right qualities Love, Jealousy, and all the ingredients for plenty of actions mentioned. I now have to start on Book Two when released.

I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Carmen Fox. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.

Review: Angel Fire

Angel Fire Angel Fire by Marie Johnston
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

REVIEWED ON http://bookaddict.live,
I loved being in at the beginning of a new series and this the book one of a new series featuring Angels, demons and fallen angels. We have a fallen Angel who has thrown in his lot with demons and crooked angels in important positions.
Our hero in this book are a scarred warrior Bryant vale and Odessa who sync with other for several reasons, but learn to full in love among the schemes and actions of our baddies.
The world building gave me a firm picture in my head, and I felt connected to most of characters including some of the baddies. We are all not one or the other.
What a great start to a new Paranormal Romance, with plenty of action. This was I got to finish book for me, as I wanted to find out if what happened. I will say this a complete story as far as Bryant and Odessa love story. To follow the world and larger picture I am happily waiting book two.

Review: Delivered

Delivered Delivered by Eva Charles
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,
Well I think Eva Charles has done a wonderful job creating this dysfunctional family, and the world they live in. My god it makes you go cold when you think a man like DW could end up president.
This duet has the perfect balance of hell and happy, even though Julian was living in hell trying to work out how to save his family. The sex was dark and dirty just as you expect, but as hot as hell my fingers still singed from my kindle.

Julian and Gabrielle have both in their way had been to hell and back. Julian’s childhood was a nightmare as we learn what happened to have made Julian arrange to have Gabrielle sent away to boarding school her away for her own safety.

This is an addictive read, and you can’t help but be invested in the characters wellbeing. I loved Julian having to hide his soft heart to survive the world he had to live in. Gabrielle was perfect for JD she loved and understood in the end. So all is well as we look forward to the next book in this world.

Advice From A Jilted Bride Advice From A Jilted Bride by Piper Rayne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,
What a lovely romance, a slow burn which builds beautifully into a perfect romance. Even as they become neighbours, friends and then perfect for each other.
We get to have lots of fun with the Bailey family and Grandma Dori in Alaska and can’t wait for the next trip for my holiday treat when you visit a town and follow the news with Buzz Wheel blog.
Even though this was longer than most romances this is a easy read, and I read this all the way through in one go as I was so engrossed and biting my nails.
We meet up with Austin and Holly, and see how they are getting on, but my favourite is Brooklyn and Wyatt they were perfect for each other. So another great romance from Piper Rayne. I can’t wait for The Birth of a Baby Daddy the next in the Bailey Family.

Review: Trust and Treachery

Trust and Treachery Trust and Treachery by Charissa Dufour
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,
This is book one in a new series set in the future, when space travel is an everyday experience. Unfortunately for Bit an indentured servant life has been horrendous with all her previous owners, and now she has been won in a card by a young man Galen.
Suddenly she is on her way to a freighter spaceship filled with men. Fortunately Galen’s brother Jack is the captain and he can see how frightened she is. Bit is taken back when her room is found for her with a lock on the inside.
This is centered around Bit and how she reacts to only kindness that is shown to her. This is an interesting start to a new series in which there a battle and many insights to the members of the crew. A short listen at only 3hours 57mins but with plenty fitted in giving me a taste to look forward to book two.

Review: The Hookup Handbook

The Hookup Handbook The Hookup Handbook by Kendall Ryan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,
If you read Boyfriend For Hire with Nic and Elle, this time is Nic’s old boss Case who having performance problems with his love wand and he has thirty days to finish a book he is writing. So when Ryder asks if he will give his sister a job for the summer Case agrees. Certainly not expecting the breath of fresh air Sienna brings, and the life she brings back into his performance malfunction and on top of that Sienna is super intelligent, beautiful and Case is hooked.
Case and Sienna get to know each other very quickly working in the same office, especially when she helps correct his manuscript as his writing it. This is another hilarious romance from Kendall Ryan as we read about Case and Sienna falling in love, and how they get to their HEA.
This is told from both points of view, which I prefer being in the know with both sides of the story.

Review: Slay Me

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,
Slay Me is the last in the trilogy and concentrates on Cassandra and Kyle. For the first time ever Cassie goes to high School after being home schooled all her life. So when a handsome guy chats her up she thinks he is trying to hurt her, and her ninja fighting skills come out. When she tells parents they tell her he was asking her out not attacking her.
There is only one thing wrong with him and that is he is a Puritan Vampire and being fostered at Morgan’s stepmother and Dad’s house. Kyle is actually 19 but stopped growing at 16 when was turned and on the run. He trying to live normally so he ages, and he is hot for Cassie.
This is a great story right from the word go, hilarious and plenty of payback from the slayers, with crooked Senators, and business men using they vampiric gifts for corruption. I loved this one, but it wasn’t as funny as some of the others. A great ending to a terrific trilogy. The Narrators were Cassie and Kyle, but Alexander had such enthusiasm it was a joy to listen.

Well its always a pleasure to read a Lani Lynn Vale book, but this is the first in The Southern Gentleman series. We follow Raleigh a high school teacher in a small town Gun Barrel Texas where everyone knows everybody else business.
Raleigh is a lovely character except she is accident prone. The other thing about Raleigh is she is in love with Ezra McDuff the high school coach. Raleigh has always wanted him to see her, and when the first time he really sees her. It so hilarious I’m not telling because I will spoil it for you.
Raleigh is a virgin who is told to teach the Sex Ed class, you couldn’t feeling for her.
This is my favourite read this month, I love reading all LLV’s books, but this has special place in my heart and I adored the characters which I know I will be reading about them in the future and I can’t wait.

Review: Across the Horizon

Across the Horizon Across the Horizon by Aly Martinez
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,
As always after listening or reading one of Aly Martinez book it is the emotions that you go through with the characters. We start with Rita married to Greig for 7 years suddenly finding out that her husband has had a sixth month affair with one of the practice nurse where they both work.
Rita is devastated and decides to divorce Greig , but he wants her back. The more she finds out the less she wants him. Suddenly to get rid of husband who is grabbing her at the practice fund raiser. When a handsome man comes towards them, she pretends to know him and he agrees.
Suddenly she is friends with Tanner a chief whose company donates the food for the fundraiser for the children.
Both Tanner and Rita have there private things they haven’t come to terms with.
This has drama, love, happiness all the range that Aly does so well. I absolutely loved Tanner I though he was a sweetie. Rita lost all her self confidence and was frightened to be in love again. It took a lot from Tanner to help her love again
NARRATED BY TROY DURAN AND EMMA WILDER were excellent pulling me , I never was jolted from the story once by the narrators, Which for me is a win win

Surprise, Baby! Surprise, Baby! by Lex Martin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,
I’ve read some heavy books lately so it was with great pleasure to read and enjoy Surprise Baby. This is about Eve and Josh from all about The D, which was hilarious.
This is their best friends story, Josh’s best friend is Drew who was a womanising drunk, and Eve’s best friend Kendall who is a work alcoholic.
Drew has always been drawn to Kendall, but she has always seen him at his worst. Then they both invited to thanksgiving at the mountain cabin that Josh had designed. Drew is asked to drive Kendall because of a bad storm.
Lets just say after being stranded in storm in the cabin on their own, and become very close. You all know the title, so I will say this an entertaining romance between two great people and we have a beautiful love story with plenty of hot sex and happy endings.
I always love these authors work, and can’t wait for the audiobooks because they are so well done and brings it all back to life for me.

Review: Master of Sin

Master of Sin Master of Sin by Sienna Snow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live,
I don’t know what I was expecting, I read blurb which didn’t tell me much. Innocent girl taken of advantage by a guy who forces her into a relationship.
On the surface it could be that except Haden’s family had been part of Penny’s life for years, so it wasn't a meeting with a stranger.
Penny has always had a thing for Haden, and as we find out more we realises how much she means to Haden, and he introduces our innocent into a very hot and sexy love life.
There much more to the story and many more surprises as we are introduced to the rest of the players . This is a complete story involving Starlight and Haden, but I know I’m looking forward to many stories from Sienna Snow based in the same world.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, and it had everything I enjoy about a romance with the side dose of intrigue and suspense an enjoyable read all round.
